General Chat / Nintendo DS

Well, I'm getting a DS in the next couple of days, and with the release of Yoshi's Touch and Go being the 14th, I'm kind of mixed up over what game to pick up along with it. The two games that I have come between are Mario 64 DS and Yoshi's Touch and Go. Does anyone have anything to say which might help me decide.

    Thanks.

Well do you have Super Mario 64 (N64)? If so then i definatly wouldnt get it, seeing as they are so similar. However, if you don't have SM64, then you should get it (great game).

My biggest debates are that Mario 64 DS takes good advantage of the graphics that the DS is capable of, while on the other hand Yoshi's Touch and Go takes good advantage of the new features of the DS, inwhich the entire game is played using the touch pad and mic.

I liked Mario DS personally, had some nice new features and was a vast improvement.

Personally, I'd get Mario DS as it'll last longer. (and you won't get bullied as much)

This and the PSP are coming out next Friday, which is my birthday, so there may be a slight chance I'll get one of them.

My brother's had his DS for ages in the UK. Get with the ebay buying ppl :p

I love the mini games on Mario 64. Found the controls weren't perfect like the N64 analogue stick for the main game though.

i think i will get a psp, looks better and has better games on it.

The PSP cost a lot though. More than buying a playstation 2, and not only that, but a game is going to cost you 50 dollars alone.

I'm gonna get a PSP but I will also get a DS because it is look pretty cool and has some good games. Plus, I can chat with my friend in study hall. :bandit:
How I'm gonna hide it? Not sure, because a teacher sits three rows up behind me and has a good view of where I sit, so it will be tough but if I can't then I won't.

When I get a DS, I'm definetly getting Mario 64. That game rocked.

Which is like £30 in the UK, which is the usual PS2 game price.

That's another thing that lead me in the direction of the Nintendo DS. Why buy a PSP when you have a Playstation 2? The answer to that is that you can bring it along with you for portable gaming, but I'm asking why buy a portable version of something you already have, when you can buy a less expensive portable gaming device with much more innovation. I just think it's kind of ironic purchasing something you have already at your house. I would just rather have a little variation with gaming, especially if it costs so much.

(me holding and playing one at work)

I don't need this device by any means...but its so sleek. screen is awesome. graphics are awesome. battery life is awesome (somewhere around 5-7 hours).

might have to wait for my birthday, cause I cant really afford paying $250 for one...mainly 'cause of my new laptop.

Oh...and for that $250 you spend on it, you also get a case, headphones, 32MB MS Duo card, inline remote control for mp3 player, USB cable, charger...and the first 1,000,000 units shipped have the full version of Spiderman2 (the game I think) included as well.
