Edit: For anyone that knows how to use Wikipedia, we should try and add some more info on RCT. -

I just added this site in the links section, but I think it would be neat if we could elaborate more on the RCT entry... it's just skin and bones right now. -

Nope.. not anymore.'s on there now. Courtesy of yours truly.
It appears as though someone is editing NE out of the links area...
I put it up again like 20 mins ago, and now it's off again. -

^Probably because it doesn't have 'rct' in the name of the site. Oh well. You'd always hope that we could try to get some new people in here by a route like that.

That's shit, maybe if they actually looked at the site instead of just deleting it, wankers. -

It's clearly someone from RCT2.com, since they just deleted all the links, save the official sites and RCT2.comThat's shit, maybe if they actually looked at the site instead of just deleting it, wankers.
Prick.. I'm putting the site on my watchlist. -

what i don't understand; can fools like you just fuck with the wikipedia entry? i mean, isn't it "controlled" by someone or anything? -

I think nedesigns.com is a relevant reference if rct2.com can be a relevant reference, if not more so. I don't think anyone here, or even most at rct2.com would disagree. Who ever is pulling strings either has a grudge or simply ignorant. In neither case is it a bad idea to fight for nedesigns.com to be linked. -

just had a great idea!
Someone should create a NEW entry entitled "rct community" that talks about the interesting directions the community has taken in the game and such. THEN we do a minor edit to the original roller coaster tycoon entry to include a sentence about how rct has spurned a unique community.
Now, if the cretons have issues, editing OUR entry will make them look bad, and their status on wiki will come into question. If they have the capacity to see it, then we will have our entry. And the great thing about this is it won't look like advertising. We remove rct2.com from the links, and add it to our own entry along with a few other rct sites.
How bout THEM apples, eh?what i don't understand; can fools like you just fuck with the wikipedia entry? i mean, isn't it "controlled" by someone or anything?
no, it's not. It's basically an "anyone can come on and change the definition" thing. Some people on wiki have their heads up their asses and will change entries out of their own personal taste or distaste (it's actually against the rules, and is looked down upon). -

Ya, anyone can fuck it up. There have been times where whole articles on, say, the Middle East have been replaced by the word fuck. Members can put sites on their watchlist however, and if something like that happens, you can be notified, and then revert the article back to its original form. Alot of members take Wikipedia seriously, and so generally the site stays together nicely.what i don't understand; can fools like you just fuck with the wikipedia entry? i mean, isn't it "controlled" by someone or anything?
