Cheers guys. Just registering the fact that the community would embrace another one I'll put it in my sig or something so you don't forget ;-) -

Hello.
Another Pro Tour does sound enticing...
Maybe next time around people will actually claim their prizes...

^ You mean cBass and Mala didn't take their money?!
Anyway I would love to see another PT, however it has to be a nice ways out. After h2h3 and/or the collabro wars thing (keep both moving fast) then I would have the time to compete. Not that it matters too much anyway, you guys could start the qualifiers here soon and as long as there are 15 weeks like before I think I can find my slot.
A new PT would be nice, so would another Hi Rollers without all the qualifying issues.
Look'n forward to whatever contest is coming the near future.

Like Metropole said, the NE community is really active now, and I wouldn't like to slow it down just yet. I mean, we've had Head to Head, RCT Olympics all that stuff, and what I would say is start up the Pro Tour when things have slowed down around here. Plus many parkmakers are overloaded with the stuff that's already going on. It would be cool to do it later this year, or even over the summer, when people have more time, and a lot of the stuff that's currently going on will be over/slowed down. -

What if we have one sometime where you can enter collabos in the preliminary rounds. If a ride made by two or three people e.g. Guyana Mountain Express won a prelim round then both/all those people would be in the actual Tour.
The thing is, they would have to make their actual Tour entries as collaborations as well, with the same people.
Though that could give them an unfair advantage. Maybe a smaller version of the Pro Tour so less is ruined if it is indeed unfair. -

PT2.
Pair up with someone, and if you win, that pair gets to enter a park between them. Team effort, allows more people to participate.
But there wont be a pro tour for ages anyway. -

I don't think anyone would want to do a joint collaboration. Really, Who would want to split the cash prize? -

Ah, you're just asking to get screwed over in qualifying again!Doing another Pro Tour would be good, but for some reason I don't think it would have the same feel as the first. But hey, it's a good way to get things moving, and it's going to bring some awesome work about.

Just to clarify... the reason I actually started this topic is because I personally feel the NE collabo type contests have, generally speaking, a negative effect on the community because it is exclusive to a certain number of members and the purpose is purely to test the ego of a certain number of individuals. Whereas the pro tour - anyone can enter, last time it produced some absolutely awesome parks (every single one of them had something incredible about them post qualifiers) and it produces some good new talent. I really enjoyed the last one, despite the fact that from a personal view it kind of screwed itself up for me, and basically from a selfish perspective I'd like a chance to qualify and put a park up against NE's best.
But given rct olympics, H2H3 (which is going really well, btw) of course I don't suggest it should happen now. In fact, I would suggest a starting date of May, then have the final parks due in sometime around November/December to maximise the building time that summer allows for the majority of members here at NE.
I hope this post made sense - tonight I've drunk a whole bottle of wine and a snakebite, just decided not to go out - so you guys get my company for tonight -

I personaly think we should just have another good ol' fashioned - here's the bench, here's the deadline, send in your best effort competitions. It could even start now as long as the deadline was a long way off. I'm fed up with contests that have multiple stipulations and you must qualify if your not a parkmaker or you have to be bla bla bla. I'd like to have a simple, straight forward contest (with lots of judges) where the winner can be called the best at RCT1/2/3 (which ever they used) at that specific time. -

I like that more than these really complicated contests... The focus should be on the actual parks, not on the contest.I personaly think we should just have another good ol' fashioned - here's the bench, here's the deadline, send in your best effort competitions. Make it an equal playing field, and may the best man win. Plus, with that, you never know if there will be a huge upset or not. With the PT, there can't really be any big upsets 'cause they're all so good. -

I'm all for it really. We won't know for sure who's entering at the end of all of it and the 'weakest' plays would get to put their efforts up against the 'best'. Not to mention X-sector needs revenge from Hi Rollers and the PT (2nd place to Mala then missed the deadline, the man wants that shot...)
Hi Rollers 2 would be the best possible thing imo. Start sometime in early May, finish in say Augest or September. I would love it. The PT with all the qualifiers is cool too although it's a lot of work for those of us that aren't parkmakers. (DJ, Steve, Kumba, Jkay, Beejer, me, etc. would probably do major battle with each other to get in, so unless more than one winner is possible and legal by Iris's decidion someone will get to try over and over...)
BTW if I'd still be allowed to compete I think I may have just about the perfect workbench made up too. It's got almost all of Toons 1/4 tiles, a good number of the landblock, castle brick details, spiril stairs...
Anyway I would love to see it happen.
