And the streak reaches 8 as the Dodgers lose again.
Meanwhile, the Angels strike hard first and hang on for dear life. Chan Ho Park gave up 8 runs in 1+ innings. Ouch.
But speaking of getting roughed up.. the pathetic Yankees weren't so pathetic when they scored THIRTEEN RUNS in the 8th and destroy the Devil Rays 20-11. Granted, it was Tampa Bay, but 13 runs in any inning is pretty crazy. That's like... more than they've scored total all year! -

Twins lost and White Sox won again. Now the Twins are 8 down and they're playing horrible baseball. They keep hoping the Sox are going to tank it like they always do but it's not happening yet. -

Speaking of youch, the Dodgers continue their annual second half slide (this time two months early) by getting swept by the hot Angels. They lose 3-5 today. They end their 12 game road trip 2-10. Angels end their 12 game homestand 9-3.
I think the Angels are "LA's team" at the moment. -

Yeah I watched that brutal spanking. The best part was when Christianson decides to 'make a statement' by throwing a ball at Nick Swisher and three pitches later he hits it out. Who got the last word there? The Giants had 5 errors in the game last night, so that wasn't much better. And actually, I've had quite a lot to cheer about the past few weeks. Don't let the record fool you. Our starting pitching is the best in the league right now and the offense is coming together too. We've won 8 of our last 9. Don't be surprised if the A's are biting at the Angel's heels for the division come September. -
