I am an Astros fan, but I have to agree with penguinBOB on this one. I don't even think the Astros will make the playoffs. And isn't Pettite injured? We just suck. And we are old. Damn. -

pettitte is supposed to be ready at the begining of the season. he's had a lot of trouble but they said his elbow is finally alright. but heres the bad news, lance berkman was just placed on the DL. although it is only 15 days, im pretty upset, berkman is quite possibly my favorite player. sad start for the astros -

Predictions:
American League:
East - Baltimore
Central - Minnesota
West - Anaheim (Screw LA.... it's still going to court)
wildcard - New York Yankees
Anaheim beat Minnesota
Baltimore beats Yankees
Anaheim wins the pennant
National League:
East - Atlanta
Central - St. Louis
West - Arizona
wildcard - Florida
St. Louis beats Florida
Atlanta beats Arizona
St. Louis wins the pennant
Anaheim beats St Louis in 5 games.]
Angels are going to own it up like nothin' this year. They're the top pick on all the lists I've seen so far for their offense and defense (especially starting pitching and bullpen).
Offensively they picked up Orlando Cabrerra and Steve Finley, which gives them the best outfield in the majors (Garett Anderson, Steve Finley, Vlad fucking Guerro! With Juan Rivera and Tim Salmon backup/DH). Infield wise they have Adam Kennedy, Chone Figgins (Speed kills), Orlando Cabrerra, Darin Erstad, Maicer Izturis, and of course the Molina bros with Bengie being a gold-glove.
Face it, everyone else's team should just give way to their ownageness this season. -

Hmmm yea, maybe he meant to say Boston rather than Baltimore as the AL east champ.

^ Yeah, sorry, forgot to change it after copying and pasting Mike's to make my own prediction thingy. Meh. -

i was thinking, no way the redsox are gonna win the east. its all yankees. yanks have better hitting and pitching. redsox will probably get the wild card though. from there, it could go either way. -

Ha... Angels are about to win their sixth consecutive game against the Dodgers, and sweep the Spring Training Freeway Series.
BoSox & Yanks in a lil bit... should be interesting. -

Why is it everyone sees tonight as the preview to the ALCS, again? WTF
I hope neither team makes it. You guys got your championship. Now let's all admit you both need to do some revenue sharing. -
Jellybones Offline
Probably but Selig will never go through with revenue sharing as long as the Twins come super-close to going all the way every single year. -

absolutely embarassing game. but at least i picked up some fantasy points. anywho, heres a good story, alex sanchez got caught taking steroids today. absolutely hysterical, that guy hits like 2 hr's a year.

adam dunn, 1st at bat of the season = hr
i absolutely love dunn, good thing hes on pretty much all of my fantasy teams.
edit: i just watched the mets vs reds. reds just made a nice comeback in the bottom of the 9th. it was 4-6 with one man on, and dunn hit a second hr. that tied the game, and then joe randa came up to bat right after dunn and hit another hr. amazing. -

Wells shat the bed.
I just got home so I have no idea what things happened today. I'll check that out and if anything interesting happened I'll be back again. -

How about that Dimitri Young dude (I think his first name is Dimitri...) from Detroit hitting three homers? That was rad.
Angels start raping your teams tomorrow, first victim being the Texas Rangers. -
shameless Offline
yea, dimitri young is incredible, he wouldve had really good numbers last year too but he was out for a bit with an injured knee. the tigers in general are looking very good for this season, im gonna be expecting a lot out of them.
p.s. crosby just joined the evergrowing dl.
p.p.s. vazquez sucks balls
