Hmm.. 10 huh. I don't know if I should list the 10 "best" I've seen, or the 10 I was most entertained by... Um, ok here's 10 that I like:
Fight Club, Top Gun, Pretty Woman, Usual Suspects, Se7en, Negotiator, Shawshank Redemption, Jurassic Park, Super Troopers, Ice Age...
... I don't think I could pick a top 10. I've seen so many I can barely remember I've seen a movie until I watch it and remember the whole thing. -

^ I thought it was pretty damn funny... whether some of it was supposed to be or not.
I could replace it with Swordfish... or about 100 other movies I have laying around. -

i don't understand the point of ranking your favourite movies. i'm happy when i like one i watch but i could never put them in a top10. i don't even want to.
just now, the last movie i've seen and that i really liked was "thelma & louise". -

I tend to like mostly sci-fi, which is reflected in my list. Not that I don't watch lots of other kinds of films. Also, all the movies I really like tend to have an "epic" feel to them. Also, I count trilogies and series as one film (otherwise they take up too much space) unless otherwise noted. In not much of an order:
Minority Report
Star Wars (ROTJ in particular)
Indiana Jones (TLC in particular)
LOTR (ROTK in particular)
Independence Day
Pirates of the Caribbean
Spiderman 2
2001: A Space Odyssey
Jurassic Park (1)
The Matrix (1/2, not 3) -

There is a concept of 'favourites', ie films you'd go back to watch again and again and that you gain the most pleasure from watching...ranking is arbitrary, anway, it's more a snapshot of what sort of thing you enjoy, and it's a good way for people to get recommendations for films they haven't seen yet.[font="tahoma"]i don't understand the point of ranking your favourite movies. i'm happy when i like one i watch but i could never put them in a top10. i don't even want to.

I don't know, I just thought it was a really good film, and it was the most recent one I've seen. And by the way, if you haven't seen Elephant, go do so. It's one of my favorites (duh).
