he could throw 10 touchdowns a game but it doesn't mean shit if he goes his career without a ring.
So by your terms Dan Marino sucks.

Yea just because he hasnt gotten a ring yet doesnt mean he's bad. He's broken tons of records this season which is saying something. Winning the superbowl is good, but its not the only thing that defines a Qb. A really sucky Qb could win he Superbowl just cause the rest of the team is awesome.(So its not all Manning's fault). He's still got 5-10 more seasons of playing and i'd be suprised if the colts don't get a superbowl title by then. -

Well here's the way I look at it. Tom Brady could set all the records he wants, but if he doesn't win a Super Bowl, what do I care? yeah Marino is great, and Manning is possibly great, but setting records aren't the goal of pro football--or at least, they shouldn't be.
Besides, Manning and the Colts have had this amazing offensive machine all year. If they didn't make the Super Bowl this year they'll never make it. Then again...it IS defense that wins championships. -

Manning always has fairly good games.(ONLY except when he plays NE). We have seen QBS like Brady and Farve screw up before too.( Brady-Miami and Farve-lots of times) Just because the records mean nothing to the fan, doesnt mean that it means nothing to the player that achieved it.Well here's the way I look at it. Spoon makes the better argument imo. Being a QB in the NFL, you're not only rated on your skill, but also your abillity to bring a home a Super Bowl title. Case & point with John Elway. He's almost become double as famous after he brought home two championships, yet he prolly still would make the hall of fame if he hadn't. -

Yea but what about if the Colts were the worst team ever, and Peyton was awesome. They probably wouldn't be able to win the SuperBowl, but Manning would still be great. You can't always judge the greatness of a QB on how many Superbowl wins they have.Spoon makes the better argument imo. Yes, yes. Dan Marino does indeed suck (Ace Ventura? What was his role in that movie again?) And he's incredibly overhyped. So by your terms Dan Marino sucks.

Hmmm...Philidelphia might just make it to the Super Bowl after all. But they'll still get their ass whoped by the Steelers if they do. Nevermind the fact they have a rookie quarterback starting. -

Jake Dellhomme didn't win a Super Bowl. In fact, he wasn't noticed as a difference maker until this year. -

You are correct, they do make QB's stars, ut that doesnt mean that he played well. His team could have gotten to the Superbowl because of great defense. By the way, i still don't think Delhome is very well known

Pats v Falcons
Absolutely sure the pats will beat the steelers this time.
Not so sure bout Falcons beating Eagles, this could be the year the Eagles finally make the big game.
Pats will win the superbowl of course, I don't like them but they jus dont lose. -

except for losing twice in regular season. one i might add to the steelers.
Dan Marino, John Elway. Two great quaterbacks, one is considered greater than the other. Sorry, but if you want to be considered the best, you gotta win the big one. -

Hmmmm at this point, i think that it will be the Patriots and the Falcons. Pats will win. (As much as i hate to say it =/) -

the Pats did lose in the regular season but I jus don't see them losing in a game that means another trip to the superbowl. U gotta face it, they win big games. -

Dude, we didn't have fucking Corey Dillon.
Like I've said before when everyone was picking the Colts, the Pats will win it all.
That's all I have to say. -

Youll notice i credited that in an earlier post. Best run defense in the country=steelers, number one overall. Shut down dillan, and the game belongs to the steelers. Can it be done? Yes. -

I'm at a bit of a loss as to why everyone around here seems to think the Falcons have anything on the Eagles, even if Philly is missing T.O. Every time Atlanta has a tough matchup---and even sometimes when they seemingly don't---they crumble. Vick falters. Michael's a great player, probably the most athletic in the game, but a quarterback is more than that, and I think Donovan McNabb has everything on him. Philly will trounce the Falcons by two or three touchdowns I think. And the Steelers don't stand a chance, especially if they play the way they did against the Jets.
