Excuse my blonde-ness, but, is that a good comment, or a bad one? I'm sorry if I am so dumb as not to know, but you know those damn newbies ...way to raise this thread from the dead.
I just thought being a member finally that it was about time I added my comments .

I will DEFINITELY keep that in mind. That's what I've been thinking lately too.Corkscrewed,
I have to say the red does remind me of the real Splash Mountain, but the occasionally varied brown might be a good addition. Being one who has walked Splash Mountain many times, I must say those trees to seem out of place. Splash Mountain is made of mostly shrubs and flowers and hanging objects and not so much trees, especially on the outside. I'd also agree that your drop is too flat, but this is RCT after all and you can't be perfect. I think a little more work and it'll end up great.
As for the rest of the resort place, looks amazing.

I'm so amazed that you'd actually take my comments seriously. I feel so valuable despite the fact that it is only comments.
Okay, I'd also like to add, I find myself looking at that screenshot more and more. I really am digging that overgrowth you have made on the mountain. I think it looks amazingly good, but I'm also sad to say it's the trees that ruin the Splash Mountain vibe. I just LOVE that overgrown thing it has going on.
Also, the tree at the top is a monster on that screenshot. I'd recommend custom scenery (maybe ToonTowner might be willing to help), or an alternative method using maybe the poles avaliable in the game and using shrubs to add moss or branches, etc. I think those pipes make it look like one of those "art-sy" San Francisco Art Musuem fountains where there are odd metal poles sticking out at places.
Also, I'd recommend that you don't literally make it a mountain, but include a show building, because after all, if you are going for realism, by taking out the showbuilding for a complete mountain, well, that's just not right in my opinion. I do think the mountain out front is a façade and should be kept as such, including a showbuilding out back for scenes. I mean, if guests are never going to see the back, good, then you don't need a whole mountain, but if yours is oddly positioned, then do by all means make it so guests see as minimal show building as possible. Once a guest on the ride gets past the front façade, it's ALL showbuilding out back.
Very good otherwise, I'm very anxious to see this project where it belongs.

In case you didn't catch it somewhere in the 294,095,182 pages of this thread, this park is not using custom scenery.
Which makes it a HELLUVA lot harder to make. -

Well, I guess I should have been more clear and stated there is a program that will let you import custom scenery into your park ONCE STARTED. That program is called DIMport. I believe you can just google that name and find it IF you wanted custom scenery. I was just trying to provide some critism on the mountain overall. I appologize for antagonizing you with my comments. In case you didn't catch it somewhere in the 294,095,182 pages of this thread, this park is not using custom scenery.

Sometimes I wonder why you don't just start over and do it right with custom theming. Well okay no I don't really wonder that. Starting anything over blows. I haven't posted in this topic for awhile so,
looks good. keep up the great work -

Not much word has come out of the Walt Disney Escape Resort construction site recently. Disney seems to have gained a powerful hold in controlling the amount of information that has trickled out. Over the past month, no media members have been allowed in, and no information has been released. With the one-year anniversary of the start of vertical construction passed, many have wondered about the progress of the park.
Finally, Disney has released some information. In The European Experience, the building housing the Phantom Manor has been completed. This old, dilapidated mansion sits monumentally by the border of the European Experience and Fantasyland and looms massively over any brave souls who dare pass by.
In nearby Fantasyland, more work has progressed on Splash Mountain. The course layout has been completely tracked, and officials have revealed that this attraction will, indeed, boast a new course design, complete with three different drops, one in total darkness. Work continues on the theming now that the mountain structure has been finished. Testing is expected to begin soon.
Word indicates that the Casey Jr. Circus Train will begin construction soon. The project manager wants to finish Fantasyland before work will start in earnest on Toon Town, which will feature a slight deviation from the version at Disneyland. This themed area will utilize a storyline explaining how the toons desired a vacation destination to get away from the city. After Mickey found a perfect spot in sunny Spain and built his house, Donald, Goofy, and company followed suit. Toon Town promises to be a colorful hit for children and will feature many rides inspired from the original Toon Town as well as a few all-new attractions!
When completed, Walt Disney Escape will join Warner Brothers Movie World, Madrid and Universal Port Aventura as the third major theme park in Spain. Featuring the best in traditional Disney ideas and the newest technological advances, Walt Disney Escape will provide a strong form of competition and strengthen Disney's business venture into Europe.
Please check back periodically for new updates on this exciting resort. -
