I've been looking at the screens and really had nothing to say. In a sense RCTmaster was right. this looks nothing like a new Disney park! It's too well themed, and looks like it would cost a fortune to build in real life. When this is finished it better have cut down remakes of classic rides. Or is this park being built by OLC? -

That's a rather narrow view of "realism." We're not talking Six Flags realism. If you are implying that realistic is the quality that the recent Disney parks (DCA and WDW Studios Paris) is "realistic," then you're thinking rather narrowly. The true essence of Disney is to be extravagent. As you've alluded to, TDS was amazing. Sure, Disney didn't pay for all of it, OLC financed it, but you can see that Disney can be amazing when costs are not an issue. Frankly, this current stinginess is the result of Michael Eisner's quest to cut down costs. Talk to just about any imagineer and he or she would tell you that putting costs ahead of theme is not the way to go.I've been looking at the screens and really had nothing to say. I'm trying to make a great park, not save money. DCA proved that listening only to money doesn't make a great park. TDS showed that being truly Disney will reap rewards. I don't want to make a DCA. I want to make a TDS. Therefore, your argument about it not being realistic is flawed. This IS Disney, at least from every educated and informed person I've talked to. Yes, that sounds incredibly egotistical, but I firmly believe the park is pretty good. Certainly whether or not it's "best ever" or whatnot is up to opinion, but by no means is it not realistic. Of course, I could understand your saying that if you're judging based on two screens. Just wait till all this mess w/ NE and DC gets completely restored and straightened up and I'll post all the pictures.
Or maybe I'll set up a webshots account or some other thing...
NE is low enough on bandwidth, and Iris puts the pics up on there, not me.Why don't you just put them on your parkmaker page?

It's a lot better if you look at the photos and read the updates at the same time. The photos correspond to the updates and make more sense that way. The first screens were from when I first started on the park, and the pics progress chronologically. -

Corcskrewed, it was a joke. I was refering to the fact that a lot of what Disney has done park wise recently has been cheep stuff that is aimed to a mass market. Your park is great, better than something Disney has done recently. -

You guys are tough.
I have the unpopular opinion of being somewhat with Eisner. It isn't his fault that the hotels at Euro Disney were a colossal failure, or that Test Track suffered from some glitches everywhere, or that Light Magic was a disaster in waiting. After that, I don't blame him for pinching pennies. And it doesn't help that the theme park division is headed by Nazis.
Though enough money to make something that looks like Corky's park would be nice. -

I've been following this park since even before registering here. The first pics I saw were amazing, but the last few aren't as good IMO. Hope you're not getting lazy. It's still a great park though. Keep it up Cork... -

Glad to see the original pics back up. And just to remind some of the newbies(I mean the REALLY new people) and those that don't always read the posts, Corky has done everything in this park before custom scenery came out, so when the finished product comes out, keep that in mind. I bet he could have utilized TT's roof packs and some other things as well, but I think it is great for being before that time. Hope to see an update soon, even if it is just a written one.
The pics still don't show up in the earlier posts, but at least you have a link to the earlier pictures.

Well, until I have a web host that allows off site leeching, I'm not going to make any formal Press Release type updates. I think I'll transfer all the updates onto a web site though, and just make you visit my site when I get it up... or maybe I can get an NE Mod Page. Then Mantis will have some competition.
Anyway, I worked on Tomorrowland last night, and it looks pretty nice, actually. Starcade's building is almost complete, and the facade is very nifty. The tall vertical sign outside provides a brilliant setting, and there is some lush scenery as well. Expect preparations for Space Mountain to begin shortly.Attached Images
