The new entrance is great, but in the future, is your architecture going to have browns, reds, yellows, etc. like in Discoveryland? If you have said, sorry that you have to repeat :!!:

Disney Imagineering has published a new press release concerning one of the two hotels to be located at the Walt Disney Escape Resort, named Fantasy Village. This is the first of two guest residence areas and will be located southeast of Tomorrowland and west of Pleasure Island.

The Walt Disney Co. is proud to announce the first of two hotel complexes to be built on the site of the ongoing Walt Disney Escape Resort.  Fantasy Village will transform the childhood dreams of fairy tales to life, as guests step through the front entrance gate into a wonderful, charming world formerly found only in storybooks.

Guests entering Fantasy Village will stroll down the winding cobblestone road of a magical provincial town.  Activity abounds as villagers hustle and bustle in and out of the various stores and boutiques.  A shoe cobbler greets visitors by the side of the street, while a jewelry merchant invites guests to examine the finest gems and golds available.  Children flock around the owner of the local candy shop, eager to sample free sweets.  Others can stop in at the barbershop for a quick haircut, but not before they pass by the newstand to read about the morning's newest happenings.  A toy store beckons the little ones with its spectacular wares, while the marketplace offers the freshest produce.

In this warm and inviting atmosphere, new guests can amble toward the town square, where a simple but stylish circular fountain cascades streams of water down its marble surface.  In front stands the grand lobby, where patrons can check into or out of their rooms.  The stately elegance of this building is imbued with a sense of comfort and luxury, putting any visitor at ease.

From the town square, the street branches off into various neighborhoods, each with its own theme and atmosphere.  Resides stay in individual cottages, each with its own kitchenette, living lounge, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms.  At night, the place is illuminated by the glow of the gas-lit lamps.

"Hotel" ammenities include a remote, peaceful outdoor spa for relaxation and pampering.  On a hot day, guests can cool off at the local watering hole, which features an assortment of diving boards and water slides.  Don't be fooled by the quaint, pleasant, nostalgic nature of Fantasy Village, however.  State of the art gymnasium and fitness rooms are cleverly tucked away behind a building near the back.

Fantasy Village is the perfect destination for a romantic honeymoon getaway or that retreat with the family.  Warm and reminiscent of  days of yore, this town will make guests' stays at Walt Disney Escape even more of a pleasure and even more unforgettable.

When completed, Walt Disney Escape will join Warner Brothers Movie World, Madrid and Universal Port Aventura as the third major theme park in Spain. Featuring the best in traditional Disney ideas and the newest technological advances, Walt Disney Escape will provide a strong form of competition and strengthen Disney's business venture into Europe.

You're certainly one of the better writers at this site, which i'm glad of because your park deserves the updates to go with it. Great Writing, and i'm looking forward to seeing some of these things come to full fruition!

Better authors are, better architects. Consider, for example, the published correspondence of FL Wright and Lewis Mumford (Myth of the Machine). The corkscrewed chronicles, while more entertaining than most, are not great but as more open hence complex process, a gutsy path to greatness.

Such is fruition, embedded in the history of cultural form.

It is a well nice idea but the screen is well bright. It looks nice though, maybe add some nice rocks to the waterfall to make it a little more realistic. Anyway, when I get home send it to me.

Haha! You're great :D Nice to meet you.

And i'd say it's more of a 'gutless' path to greatness, but anyway.

Corky - well done! You can use a dictionary! :)

A furious campaign over the past couple of weeks has culminated in the completion of the Beast's Castle in Fantasyland at the Walt Disney Escape Resort. The castle had been about half completed for a long while but had remained unfinished due to some technical difficulties involving bringing in a large crane to work on the higher elevations. During this time, work was focused on The Castle Dungeon, a dark ride located under the castle that explores the mysterious haunts of the lower depths of the castle. This attraction may be too intense for younger guests of the park.

However, after the crane was brought in a couple of weeks ago, construction rapidly resumed, as the western side of the castle was covered and the towers were erected and topped off. When the park opens, this castle will clearly be the tallest Disney castle, towering at an awesome 230 feet above the ground, breaking the 180-foot elevation of Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World and the 145-foot elevation of Disneyland Paris's Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant. Guests will wander up a sloping rock path that meanders over a rushing brook before crossing under the gates of the castle and entering Fantasyland.

Meanwhile, work on Fantasy Village continues to progress, with the winding street and shops being erected. Land has also been marked and the path layout paved.

Finally, in Tomorrowland, the Star Tours attraction has been built. The building, however, has not been completed, and workers are currently installing theming for the queue line. Current looks at this themed area suggest that guests will enter down a long, axial lane before opening up into a lush, lively plaza area.

There are no photos in this update, due to the strict control of photography that has come with Disney's information lockout, but new pictures of the site should come soon, within one of the next few updates.
