(Archive) Advertising District / My plan

As much as I dislike your attitude, your screens aren't that bad. They aren't original by any means, they take influences from lots of other parkmakers, but it has a nice quaint atmosphere. It is a little sloppy though, make it more cohesive. An okay job so far.

Artist: I can tell you from personal experience that you are heading down the wrong path with this whole argument. If I were you, I'd just leave NE for a bit then come back and post normally with out starting any thing. Your gonna end up losing any argument you try an start here which will ultimately get your posting taken way for some time or get you banned.
I did the exact same thing you did when I was new here (Even though I know your not new.) and trying to win arguments and such got me no where. So I just stopped trying. So stop while you still have a chance.
Just a suggustion.

As for the screens,
Logo: Nice, simple, and to the point. Nice job.

1-2: Eh...not much I really like here. They seem to just not work for me. So I don't got much to say on them.

3: The architecture looks fantastic but the foliage and landscaping isn't all that great. I'm not sure how I could help you here since I ain't all that great at landscaping and foliage my self. My only suggustion is to look at some spotlights and other parks as well.

I know Chris has been a real jerk, but in this case, he wasn't really trying to start an argument, so leave the trash outside. If you want to call him out, go to the Mmphp Place and do it, or PM or IM him, or whatever. But the shit in this topic ends here.


And on the topic of the screens, they're pleasant but have since become a norm. Basically, the park is a bit outdated in that what used to look very nice now looks average. I'd encourage some more architecture sophistcation and more daring landscaping. The Egyptianish screen also looks a bit too cluttered, without any real order. Great logo, though (of course ).

The screens are ok, the arguement was pointless.

I think you're trying too hard. Don't force it so much. (That's for both the park and your story.)

Ok i got an update.



I thought id show a screen of the Colonial Theater that i built quite a while back, it is meant to host shows about the empires. Its also has a healthfarm where you can relax along with drinks and a variety of food. The Colonial house also has many bars and a cafe where you can stop for a bite to eat. On the side of the Colonial house is the entrance to the wonderful steamboat restaurant that got rated 5*s.

I planned this building in september and it was constructed a couple of months back, here is a screen of my plans.



And here is the real thing, i managed to follow my plans pretty well but some minor details came out a little different.



Anyways there you are, comments welcome and expect another update in a week or so.

But as you decided to bring up the topic, you really want to talk about copying? take a look at your erwindale section in BP. I dont really think there is a such thing as copying in rct just being inspired, which i wasnt with this area but i wouldnt start dishing shit out about copying when you do it yourself.

I too like it alot. It took me a while to get to liking those steps up but they do look good as does the rest of the screen.
It does look a bit like something Turtle would build but I won't say copied. I'll say it's inspired by Turtle. Looks good though. Can't wait for the release.
