Yep. I got a hamster yesterday and he really seems to like me. He's my early Christmas present.

Hamsters are ok, a Rat is way better tho, coz they don't bite and can live with other Rats (Hamsters will kill other Hamsters). Also give it paper towels and watch it make a bed, its cool watching them stuff their mouths, its amazing how big their cheaks get.

Well, most of my hamsters lived longer than that... none up to 8, so maybe that was a high estimate, but all of them lived at least 4, which would be 1460 days, of course...

Correct, for once. Rats are much cleaner, socialize easily, don't bite, and are fairly easy to take care of. I have 2 males living together. Maybe they haven't tried to kill each other because we got them at the same time and they are brothers. They like to sleep together when it is cold. (Yes, it gets sort of cold in Florida.)

Anyways, I ended up dropping it and the damn thing was petrified, and then it had to deal with my dog.
I took it back and it died a couple days later. No surprise to me.

My teacher did the same thing. He got out of his cage at my house. Took us an hour to get him back into his cage. Good times.
