Here in south Germany it snowed the first time in this winter 1 week ago.
For the first snow in the season it was enough.
I'm looking forward to skiing soon

Everyywhere, but our school system. every time something happens and they let schools clsoe we're the only ones who have to still go to school. And thats pretty cool you got snow where you live. Thanks to that metro Atlanta shuts down with even the prediction of half of an inch of snow.

Yes but, that is quite handy when you're in school! I know I loved it when I was in elementary school. Thanks to that metro Atlanta shuts down with even the prediction of half of an inch of snow.
Although I think I'd give anything to have a blizzard like we had in '93 ('92?) -

YAY! It snowed here in the winter wonderland today (Nov 24) and it's likely to stick around for a few months. If not it'll melt off and it'll come back even hevier. Personally I like the latter option because then we get the beauty of the first snow again.

I just hope Omaha's luck will hold out for awhile.
Kansas City (about 3 hours south of us) saw between 5-8 inches of snow today, and we have none. -

I was going to go snowboarding Friday but now I'm not because what few mountains are open barely qualify as "open". -

We just got 3-4 inches in Western Chicago so far this week. Not enough to go skiing/boarding with, but just enough to make driving a bitch.
