This is a chaotic train wreck and I fucking love it. I've really been wondering how you were going to introduce color into this park but it doesn't look like that's going to be a problem with this kind of creativity.
I love the wood coaster track bumpers round shade structures. It's incredibly tacky but that's completely realistic for a boardwalk where all of the rides compete for attention as they're usually all pay-per-ride.
I could absolutely see something like this at a boardwalk park that's running out of room like Blackpool or Indiana Beach.
@trav: the yellow water was supposed to be lights.
@bill: you love everything about my park. I can't seem to make a screen that you'll not like. I wasn't as sure that it fit a realistic setting as much as everything else so far has, but I'm glad it was believable.
@gijs: Yeah, i'll probably switch them out for the B&M ones. I originally thought they'd be too thin, but it doesn't seem like that's actually the case.
Edit: I just realized this screen would have been marginally more interesting if I'd waited for the train to come through.
Using the water tiles as lights was a stroke of genius; love that. Agree about the barrels. I think that the default bumper cars would probably look better here; but I guess that because it's outdoors (roofing is basically three canvas circles) the default ones would be unrealistic(?). Diagonal hammer game, that's something you don't see every day; really well-made.
It's unfortunate that you don't have the diagonal crown moulding piece (I assume someone has made it), as it is a little distracting having the different diagonal trim.
@bill: this was the thing I most expected to scare folks off.
@trav: I'll play with more patterns, see if anything looks a bit more telling
@recurious: still going to add potted plants and a few more stalls in the red and yellow marked sections at the bottom. So it'll fill in a bit more down below and a lit more up above.
@stoksy, diagonal ones exist, but have alignment issues and don't look that great. Default bumpers might be better, I didn't really bother to check if I could make them invisible, and I guess that was a mistake on my part.
@olddtfan: its supposed to be tacky and garish, its a pay-per-ride boardwalk park where everything is competing for attention. Glad you like it though.
@csw: what's that suppose ta mean? It didn't look like a boardwalk to ya before?
Edit: also, I'm a little confused. Nothing but positive comments, yet it's my lowest rated screen in this project. If you don't like it tell me! (and preferably why)
^Like I did in my park you can just change the track-type to crooked house mode and just the bumper cars remain. Although, I think I remember you talking about using winhack and I have no knowledge about how that works so it may be different/might not work.
I thought the cars in yours were from a car-ride. I thought you did something different. And no, this had nothing to do with winhack, I just used that to fix a glitched ride entrance. (and I'm going to use it again to increase the map size, I'm a bit short on room for surroundings.)
i think it's the start of something great, what's in the center is sound, but the pathway around the middle of the screen can use some work to not be so dry and boring.
Amazing details on the flat. Just make sure the rest of the paths have life, they all just seem like massive voids at the minute. Sometime's less path is better, bit late now but you know.
Perhaps a bit more fantastic than it should be, but I really really had fun with this. It's probably a bit messy, and I still have some stalls to build and some stuff to break up the concrete.

Supports look a lot better in purple The flat looks very cool as well, although I'm not sure what the yellow water is supposed to be?

i'd definitely stop using the barrels as supports, they just don't fit in with the other normal CSO supports.

I wouldn't go that far. There's still plenty of time for you to screw something up. lol

Ahh I'd say if they're supposed to be lights maybe make them symmetrical in the circle? Unless they are and it's just not very clear in this picture.

Very cool cheesy and tacky at the same time.

Neat! Now it's starting to look more like a boardwalk.

^Oh haha; no it's just that I was using AE's Demolition Derby ride.
