Literally copied from Belle Isle, but I still like it though.. Some nice wild west touches here and there.
Where? the pallete? maybe. The path layout choices? Maybe. But those are just good parkmaking choices. If you point out what he actually copied then I'll eat my words but I just spent ten minutes and could not find it.

Everything basically except the wild west theme things? I don't really mind it though, because Belle Isle is that good and I get people get inspired by it. I like that he made it different and added his own touches and theme specific theming to it though, that makes it rather different enough from Belle Isle imo. Here's a screen for comparison:

It may look similar in terms of the macro.. but it's not copied...
As Fred has been actively seeking feedback while building, yes, belle isle has been pushed as a strong influence and reference. Theres certainly hallmarks of the same approach in Fred's work, and i applaud the stretching of his comfort zone. But I can assure you as someone who has watched him build this, there is no copying here. Please don't start that accusation
Incredible work freddo. Excites to see you continue to elevate your game with each thing you work on!

Idk why you say "literally copied" and later on basically describing "inspired by". Seems a bit like stirring up drama for nothing... Yeah, ofc I looked at Belle Isle, mainly to learn how Andrew did composition and his pathing. Guess I can't use curved paths and curved planters in front of buildings as well?!
I can definitely see how Fred took cues from Belle Isle to step up his path work and building details, but literally copied is a hell of a stretch IMO. Macro is completely different, the objects he used are different, overall aesthetic is different, even the little bits and bobs are different. I've seen literally copied work in RCT before and this is far from it
Maybe 'literally copied' was a bit harsh from my side, apologies if it did come over that way. I did explain what I meant though, and that I didn't mind the 'similarities'. There have been many similarities in the past of NE, so it's nothing to be ashamed of and it could give you a better building experience and a good end result, which is what it's all about. In the end we all copy/are inspired by each other. I can say GForce copied/was inspired by cp6, as he kind of invented the realistic style with Watkins Woods
Very cool Fred ! But are you sure about using the lines on the paving? It gives a slightly weird grid effect, imo I think you could do without it, and replace it with a light crunch instead

I understand what you’re trying to say, but the fact of the matter is that there’s a difference between copying someone’s work and being inspired by it, I’d say that it’d be more accurate if you said the style was copied… but even then I don’t think that’s the case.
ah ok, I must be blind then. I think this is a huge step up from Fred's previous 'style' though, for what it's worth. And again, if copying andrew's style is helping him with enjoying the game more or create high quality work like this, that's only what matters.
This is, of course, excellent in every way. Some of the best wild-west architecture I can recall ever seeing, and its laid out in a way that flows naturally in which the curves and boxes complement each other perfectly.
I'm not 100% sold on the manufactured gridlines on the lighter path. I wonder if there's a way to shake them up a bit so that there are some lines and squares but they aren't quite as uniform. I see potential to play with curved lines on those path tiles.
After a great ride on our rollercoaster, fill your tummies at Ol' Japs Steakhouse! Enjoy a delicious steak or the best ribs you can find in the wild west.

Outstanding work, looking forward to this
