It's nice but I've seen so many screens that look just like it. Back in the old days you'd see some messy, incomplete screens and now it seems like many new members start with the same idea which is: I'll show off a coaster station with two level quarter tile queues, a prefab metal roof, and aside from the coaster track, it's going to be primarily neutral colors, with the non-neutral color on the roof, unless you're feeling rebellious and want to make the roof neutral and use a toned down color for the main architectural color. And just the right amount of curvy and diagonal path.
I don't mean to be a jerk about it, especially since you're about to go on vacation. But this style of screen has become the RCT equivalent of the braggadocious song on a first rap album in the 90s. You're clearly talented but I just can't get into this screen. The only advice I could give is that if you wanted to be more daring, throw in some rotting or discolored wood or something. It's good stuff but based on real life so closely that it's become part of a trend.
i like this, it's super clean and feels like it could be a real place for sure. there's definitely a layer of "gritty detail" you could add on top of what's already there to make it feel even more realistic - roygbiv's most recent park release is a great example of this. looking forward to seeing more.
Welcome to the site! This is a pretty good debut screen. I can see where Ge-Ride is coming from but I think it's fine that it's so conventional/cliche - good way to learn the basics. Of all screens like this, I think yours stands out positively for consistent colour and texture use. I like it.
I think it's lovely. Very tranquil and nice atmosphere. I love that you realised a queue interaction with this beginning part of the ride in a relatively tight spot. I also love the different vertical levels path, queue and track play with. This looks full of promise. Hope to see more.
great screen, looks like a good start to a realistic american park, and some good clean cso usage. maybe try a lusher green on the trees to make them pop?
This is excellent. Don't add rotting or discolored wood lol.
The foundation you have so far is really great. It does feel a bit dark overall, which will definitely improve once some peeps and path details are in place. But tonally it would be nice to bring some brighter value colors in the mix. I like what you've started with the yellow flowers. I'd expand upon that as you continue to build!
Saw a rotted rail post on Timber Terror on my last visit to Silverwood and thought that something like that might add some realism. Maybe it wasn't the greatest idea for this but just letting everyone know that the idea didn't come out of nowhere.
This is fantastic. I think you can use some modern tricks to spice it up.
I would change the queue suncovers to something that looks more like canvas, thats how most of the real parks do it. Will help create a visual difference between the station as well, currently its alot of kumba roofs. Maybe change the color of them as well, as others have mentioned.
Im a sucker for signs and I think you can spice up that ride sign. Maybe some flowers in front on the rocks, lights, a piece of minecart track a fake mine entrance, water feature, depends how carried away you wanna get. Play around with it a bit.
Path texture layering is what all the cool kids are doing, some grey road lines ontop can resemble cracks. I find the grey tarmac mixes pretty well with the colorable crazy pavement or I think there are colorable bricks that match pretty well too. Just adds more visual interest. And then Im sure you were gonna add street lamps benches trash cans etc all that stuff helps.
I really like this! I love the light brown fence and the teal roof combo. Also the turns before the lifthill are a nice touch.
The only thing that misses here for me personally is the breath of life. You know, things that shows people have been here. Bins, benches, a few extra signs, lamps... Then add peeps and I believe this will be great!
Be a rebel and don't do what all the cool kids are doing. Nerds end up ordering their burgers on lunch break from the corporate headquarters. Great screen.
About to go on vacation for a week and won't have my laptop. Wanted to make my first post here before I left. Excited to show off more of this project!

(I don't think it needs any rot or decay!)
