Description
Working title: Gold Rush.
Flume been planned for a while, got a layout done a while ago, been trying to figure out some hacks and support styles to make it look how I wanted, and I think I've got something good now. The pier area might also feature fishing pole rentals, more games, and it will definitely have another nice flat ride. Obviously the area itself still has a fair bit of work to do, and i'd appreciate any suggestions as to the direction I should take with it. - Full-Size

you already know what i think of this, it's awesome. but you really need to add more to break up all the wood you've got going on right now. things like planters and stuff. this might no longer be full concrete, but now it's just full wood

The actual log fume is great, 10/10, I love it. However its surroundings bring the the screen down at the moment. Too much wood at the bottom, and too much concrete at the top. Its going to look alot better once you build that flat ride, games, etc, like you said

I really like that support work! and those lighted archways at the peak of the ride are a nice touch. But what are those strange shapes in the que line?

The flume is supposed to look a bit cheap and flimsy, so I left off any bobsled layering that I may or may not have done otherwise. Another part of the cheap look was the "place anywhere" support structure that I was trying to accomplish. I got a suggestion from Rob to put metal braces on the ground which would help make the flume look temporary and cheap. The weird wood panels are because the space where those would go through the queue still seemed like it needed them, but having them cross the queue didn't make too much sense, so I put those in as a cover for them, that guests would walk over in the queue. I guess they look weird though, so I might do something else there.
The lights might be expanded upon, appearing on potentially both lifts, and the corner.

This flume is a home run. You really nailed the portable flume look... great support work and the rings are an awesome touch.
I agree with everything else about the surroundings but I assume you'll fill this in with food carts / games and things like that to really capture the look and feel of a boardwalk park. peeps will help a lot too.
Great work. This is my favorite screen ever from you.

I think you really made the layout look great with the space you had available. The only thing that seems off is that the "pool" stops before the pre-lift turn.

When I said to extend the dock and add buildings along the front of the ride, I didn't mean one building that is literally as small as possible. Add an ice cream parlor next to it or something, maybe a hat stall. But right now that whole area just screams "I made this just because of the log flume", rather than the log flume got plopped down there because there was space for it. There's just so little for such a huge area.

I definitely want to make the "backstage" behind the flume look like some other buildings were there before, but got moved to accommodate the flume's addition. I've got a couple ideas on how to do this. I also might add ice cream like you suggest, or even something different.
