I love this area. Giant props signifying a building's purpose is poor iconography in my books, but J K (and SF in EPWS too) go all out with it and it somehow works in his universe. Adds to the cartoonish fun?
I also really like how this space is laid out. Path is broken up more thand you'd want if this were a realistic park, but all these pots, kettles, umbrellas and spiky plants are a texture as much as a functional thing. Looks great.
i know its weird but just for a second I thought the thumbnail was my old work. I used to build so much colored house brown awning with those particular windows etc. maybe I should get back to where i once belonged

i think jk captured the 90s postmodern/eclectic style quite well (there's a more precise architectural term for this era but i completely forget it), in a way that really felt like garish theme park dressing, rather than pure "form over function" rct symbolism. his stuff reminded me of Universal Hollywood's Citywalk particularly

I love the props and decoration telling you what the buildings are lol. Seems silly on its face but that's what makes the park fun for me.

Interesting screen choice. Lovely area, definitely one of my favorites in the park.
