The green building on stilts is strange. It feels very purposeless both in position and form. I'd consider replacing it with more of a plaza and instead building up the area around the train platform with more of a station building - could sell concessions or souvenirs or something. A fountain or some nice trees in that area would be a lot nicer than the stilt building.
The pink building looks nice. But the 3 buildings are perhaps too different in style from each other and I’m not sure about the areas layout. I'd first research types of layouts (like main streets, kiddy lands, etc. for whatever type of area this is), and then rethink the composure of the area, remembering composure is more important than detail, and also remembering to stay consistent and cohesive in style.
Thanks for the feedback. Will try to make the station more train depot-y. Was going for something like cedar creek cannonball at Dorney. Tim, I wanted to give the area some history. This park would have started with the railroad so it makes sense in my head why its the. Appreciate the advice, but I would like tho keep the station where it is. I may consider renovating it tho restrooms, but I like the idea of the railroad passing a dining atea.
That’s cool. I like the position of the railway station and wasn't what I was complaining out... Not complaining at all actually just trying to be helpful. More of what I was getting at is the path layout seems it could use some slight improvement (while the station could stay) and was additionally thinking the same as CoasterCreator that the stilted building might be replaced instead with a fountain or something. But I'd say maybe I stick to my argument that the style of the area could perhaps be more cohesive. But if you like it then I do too.
Nah I get where you are coming from. I appreciate the options. I also have considered moving the station to a new spot along the line's expansion which may fit a bot better. I may end up just recycling my entrance area from my half finished design. Opening up the area would definitely provide possibilities.
Looking at the screen again, it definitely feels like the park would have "modernized" this area, making it fit more the style of the pink building.
I see we are doing the tanking my screen again thing.
I know it's not my best screen, but there's no way it went from 34 to 29 without someone purposely downvoting it. Doesnt bother me this time though.
I would finish your next screen more if I were you. It could help prevent the low votes (although you say that doesn't bother you).
Think about your foliage which doesn't look nearly finished, and the unfinished brown patches on both sides of the raised building.
Next thing I would consider is giving your buildings some purpose, which would help making them look less random. For example, what is the pink building for? It looks like a small house, but that makes no sense in a theme park setting. It is just sitting there in its own. Also, why are there dining tables on the station platform? Isnt that where guests queue to board the train? This screen makes little sense to me.
Pretty sure it was explained in the comments that the park converted the railroad station into a seating area. But thank you for the feedback. You wanted to see my building challenge screen and now you have.
Looks pretty rough. I'd consider having your ground floors be 1-2 units taller. Right now everything looks very squat. Also agree with everything Faas already said.
Thanks for the feedback. I agree landscaping and foliage need work. This screen shows laziness and probably wasnt worth posting, which is why I withdrew it from the building challenge.
