I love this... there needs to be more cross-sections in RCT2.
This is probably one of the most beautiful screens I've seen of this game; very detailed and intricate, but also very understated. It also has a bit of a solarpunk feel going on.
the surroundings is the blue background and I think it fits quite well
Exactly, it doesn't have to be concrete. The blue sort of ties it all together and gives it a sunny atmosphere you don't get in most RCT2 screens. What's interesting is even if it's not a complete building, it's a complete vision; it's what you see when walking by and stopping in for a quick cup of joe. This is a screenshot which doesn't need any immediate surroundings to come together as a complete piece, and to me that's what especially makes it beautiful.
I can't believe this screen is over two years old now and I still love it as much as I did back then. Still an unbelievable blend of hyperdetailed realism, surrealism, and pure vibes and atmosphere to tie it all together; pretty typical Leon in other words. Wouldn't be shocked if this was one of the screens that inspired the blacktile changes during Micro Madness.

Sometimes it's better to leave things up to the imagination of the viewer. Create your own context/surroundings.

i cant help feeling like all the stuff in the middle detracts from the pure, sublime blue of the surroundings
