  I agree that some incorporation of hedge mazes would have been nice,  even just as a small part of a garden or something along those lines.  I like the foliage but something a little more cultivated near the fort entrances or inside the fort itself could be good.

   

  Overall I like what you did with the main structure,  I think this is a good application of stacking while maintaining the classic scenario feel.  The bumper boats is a little obtrusive,  I'd prefer some stacked steeplechase track or barrels instead of a bulky full tile wall for the barrier.

  Your reinterpretation of the fortress itself is fantastic! But I agree about the hedge maze... I think you can still include one though.
