Description
Hello NE! After some lurking I am happy to be sharing my first screen here. I just started playing RCT again this year. My passion is building hacked rides in OpenRCT2, but also have a lot of nostalgia for playing RCT1 as a child. I'm excited to meet you all, and always looking for people to collaborate with.
This is my take on ZDTs- Zarathustra's Dinky Town. A tiny park with a unique wooden coaster. Obviously inspired by the real Switchback, but my own layout. This coaster uses merged track to do the switch element, as well as vehicle hacking to recreate the trains: mine train front car with articulated wooden coaster. - Full-Size

Looking at it, looks like with the 2nd train, the coaster doesn’t run block brakes unless it’ll stack on the top of the lift hill.

Thanks for the feedback. Good point, block brakes would be a good way to improve the realism. Currently it just uses minimum wait times to avoid a crash.

Would love to see a video on how this thing works. Been trying to make one for some time now and can't seem to make it work. Yours looks very clean!

Thanks! I'd like to start making tutorials soon, but I haven't gotten around to it quite yet. There's a second invisible track that the train merges on to, but it is a bit tricky to get the merging right.

This is really neat. Love how you've made the trains.
