Description
So first off, it's been a minute. After being off this game for years, I discovered OpenRCT last year and then a few months after that I thought I'd check to see if NE was still kicking. Wow! It's so cool to see that even a lot of the people I remember from my days on RCT-Space are still around!
Anyhoo, it goes without saying this is the first serious project I've worked on in ages. It's more for the purpose of just getting back into how this game works. Feedback on anything/everything is of course welcome, but for whatever my input's worth I feel like my foliage is the weakest. I've never really known what to do with the space in between buildings and paths and I feel like I always guess at it and it either looks good or it doesn't lol. Thanks in advance, hoping to post more soon! - Full-Size

Very nice! I love the nostalgic feel on this.
For the foliage, I suggest looking for some garden reference photos. Try your best to recreate what you see in a photo, and then it'll start to "click" for you and it'll be easier to fill it in moving forward.
When it comes to gardens, theres a good balance of repetition and symmetry. It might help to place the flowers together and bushes behind them. It's nice to line the pathway with these rows of flowers, but it's also good practice to have little "clumps" of foliage. Usually some taller plants near the middle and shorter plants on the edges. Get some nice diagonals of grassy space in there to help break the grid as well
Here's some reference photos that I like.
