  It's a couple months old, so I can't say for sure, but I think the gray path was either to make that small bit look newer/more modern and/or to vary the colors a bit more.

  The tarmac should go but it's a solid screen. The foliage isn't conventional or all that great but it looks like something I would try so I actually like it.
