    really nice planters

The recreationalism is impressive, and it's obviously what you wanted to achieve. But aesthetically I find it lacking, almost like you didn't care, or only cared for things to look "like the picture" you had...?

But I didn't recreate anything in this screen?

For the huge amount of different colours and textures and objects you are using in this small area, you really make it work well. Nice, busy atmosphere with lots of intriguing things going on. And the custom trees on the left are bold but they look great! Your own invention or inspired from some earlier park that I haven't seen?

I get what posix is going for, but not sure how to word it either. Busy, sure. Colors, yup. Realism, certainly....but it has a feel of a static photo that is kinda framed to show reality, but not quite really capturing the spirit.

Hard to explain. Perhaps technically accurate to realism, but without the artistic application.

    Is muis Dutch for mouse?

Other than maybe the harsh transition from the stone to brown footpath up top that makes everything look sort of tied to the grid I love everything. This reminds me a lot of your old work which I loved.

loving it. still wish you slightly enlarged your scale, but cest la vis

is the tornado church going to make it in? that was my favorite bit

That wild mouse looks tiny! But cute. How do you always do it.

My only real criticism would be that the path is a bit cluttered. I'd get rid of the tree planters in the upper right corner, and half the ones in the bottom left.

Apart from that, this is great work. Your trade mark style is always instantly recognisable and can always get a positive reaction from me. Any Fass work is welcome.

    I really like this:)

Somewhat chaotic, lots of different railings and planters all with different colors.

Four different path types all with unnatural transitions. Like why use cobble and cena, should just pick one.

The barrel with the bush looks forced to me would rather see just the small circle tree used for that area.

I think its a good screen there is just a lot of things i dont understand.

This looks great if it's a sort of Tivoli Gardens affair :)

If it's a 'full size' park as it were, I'd question the cramming together of so many mixed themes and schemes.

Love what you've got so far though :)

Those custom palms are adorable. Great screen.

    Faastastic!

I quite like the mini palms too, even if they're a bit clunky, and the wild mouse station is wonderful, very in keeping with your style. The hard border between the two paths on the left is a bit jarring though.

Is it just me or is that slingshot super close to the wild mouse?

There is some really nice micro in here, but I think some of the more macro aspects might be holding it back a bit.

It can definitely be good to give different buildings and areas their own unique character, but I think a few shared motifs here and there could help tie everything together a bit better.

I really like it! I think your style is more and more refined every time I see it. I would say make a custom top on the carousel, you can make better than what the vanilla game has.

It’s cute but I wish there was more thought into positioning of things and use of space. Too much overlapping in a messy way.
  • Faas%s's Photo

The whole chaotic, cramming together, no sense of uniformity thing is exactly the feeling I was going for, so thanks for the replies!

The complaints about the path transition on the left I agree with though. It's a transition between a more recent area and an area I built maybe 3 years ago.
