That's abysmal, in the right way. It looks real. Is this inspired by a real building that is also blue?

Great looking building....love the blue and yea saw on discord that's a real building there. The sidewalks look nice...is that a small trim scenery as buffer between sidewalk path and street path?

Also, dont let Liam see the mixed fencing on bottom left...3 types! I think they look fine, just thinking on recent discussions.

I think the fence rope is too bright, change the white to grey and it'll fade into the background more, which is what you want with the different layers. Or take them out, why not.

The only real unmotivated fence change I see is the change from the steel fence around the canal on two sides that suddenly becomes a white balcony fence on one side. I think the screen would definitely be better if it was all the steel fence.

The fact you have the same tree, but in different planters and different colors directly across the street from each other is just atrocious. The Archy is nice though.

Also don't forget all the different path types :p

Just kidding, it's a good screen.

    that orange roof :barf:

@G Force, it might be atrocious, but it's also realistic.

Utrecht!!! Right? Or at least it reminds of Utrecht a lot :p

Great screen; I like the colors a lot.

EHHHHH, maybe if it was significantly more subtle and the tan trees were smaller.

I agree with Liam on the fence. Here I think the paths got a bit much, I’d go with all the bricks and the red path as regular red brick. Or all the same of something. You could also drop one of the tarmac shades.

Otherwise, still looking good to me.

There's a 3 block stretch in my city where each block has a different planter for the trees.

The red "path" is a bike lane. They tend to be red here.

Edit: Some more replies while I'm at it:

Liampie: unfortunately it is based on a pretty prominent building in Utrecht.

Kai: Yes it's a small scenery piece meant as a stoeprand.

About the fences: I can see how the white fancier (fencier?) fence sticks out, but it functions as a buffer between the city and the fancy entrance building just to the left of this screen. Maybe it makes more sense in that case, maybe it doesn't.

About the planters: I can see how it's weird. It's not unrealistic, but to be fair the planters on the right were just filler basic planters in an area i didn't really spend time on yet.

Scoop: Thanks for your input! Try looking at the centre of a historic Dutch inner city (like Utrecht) on google maps sattelite view, and count the amount of orange roofs.

Jene: Thanks, glad you recognise it.

    Cocoa: good idea.

    per phann on discord:

maybe a white striped line to devide the biking lane from the street in your pic on NE

    Looks like Delft
    I like it

loved the building in blue :)

It looks pretty nice. Does probably look even better with a bit more context. I'd suggest to cut down on the white poles on the blue building. Maybe that's how it is in real life, but it does not translate very well into RCT in my opinion. Also, the birch near the water has a strange placement and looks somewhat misplaced. Lastly, the park benches near the water look too big to be used on a one tiled path. Hope to see more from you!

This building was featured in this youtube clip about bicycle infrastructure recently.
