I like the irregularity of the buildings a lot. Especially the blue balcony is cute. I am not as worried with the grid, if it is just for this part. Nice work.
One of my favorite places I've been and you captured the architecture pretty well. Feels a bit sterile though, could use some more little things, and maybe some life like people selling souvenirs and crafts on the street, I remember that being a big part of my visit there.
I only know South America only from pictures and film, but I do know the place is a whole lot more busy than this: I suggest listening to Camcorder and adding souvenir stalls, street vendors, detail... to turn the attention away fron the straightness of that street.
