Description
This unique set of dueling/racing coasters started life as a twin Togo in 1997. After two years of troubled operations (and a Cedar Fair lawsuit against Togo for the similar flaws in their Windjammer coaster) the ride was closed. It remained SBNO for five years as park management weighed their options. In 2001 the lift hills were removed and track and station work began in partnership with Premier to convert the rides to launched coasters, but the project was cancelled partway through. Some of the original station, queue, and mid-course set theming was re-purposed between 2002-5 as an adventure wildlife attraction, including a ropes course around the "Macaque House" monkey exhibit and several tropical bird aviary enclosures.
In 2005 the wildlife attractions were closed or relocated and a contract was finalized with Maurer to extend the ride course and re-work existing track profiles, converting the ride to a moderate-intensity launched racer aimed at families. The Kingfisher Races re-opened for what would have been its 10th anniversary in 2007 with the Maurer launch and track modifications.
In 2013-4 the trains were updated and the track was extended again to include a block brake and short second launch on the way back to the station. - Full-Size

This looks awesome, I love unique nutty rides like this. Reminds me of the water coaster in Kitabasaki which I (not so succesfully) tried to replicate in Seven Wonders. Also the story seems like the most convoluted realism excuse for merging different track types together. Am I correct?

I can't believe my admin goals are diverted once again by a terrible and unfinished screen. This one was a cop out. I should at least be Discord mod because of this.

I agree the roof is quite tasteful. The rest I struggle to get into.

I kinda agree but was afraid to say it... the screen is not bad and I really like the ride choice but it just looks unfinished. I think it's just the grey roof texture... would probably look better with gravel and maybe some extra foliage or rocks.

It seems that you approached kitabasaki with a different perspective. And I think it's quite successful. I always appreciate your experiments and can't wait to see how it will turn out. Very stimulating.

I have no idea what you're going for here but I'm sure I'll love it when I see the full area.

Perhaps giving this a bit more detail/foliage would help soften up the landscaping, probably the only thing I really don't like here. Seems like its missing something.

this park looks like the sort of weird shit my brain comes up with when it dreams about rct
