in many ways its quite naive and unrefined but I really do enjoy the interaction and the raised rapids lift. back when I was just discovering rct I used to love those wwtt objects
I appreciate your desire to criticize but I haven’t played RCT2 in 8+ years. I am still running with mostly vanilla scenery and practice. With work and life I don’t have the time I used to to spend on it so i’ll be A little slow to produce works of art to equil those who have been playing for years. What would you have done different other then not having the mine train go through?
In my opinion, at the beginning it is:
a lot is happening, but a lot is also underdeveloped. The mine driving track is at least two unsupported places; if the props of some attraction run through the boat-track, the boats may have a flow problem - something like a bridge or tunnel would be a salvation for them.
Wow I didn’t see how much stuff was glitching out or that I placed in the wrong spot. I think i’m going to do a new river rapids ride and never look at this one again. Sorry guys. #ouch
I think you misunderstand- I like the interaction! All level of skill is welcome here but you are gonna get some friendly criticism, which I'd be happy to detail if you want.
(BTW any work is "a work of art" as long as you reckon it is)
Meh I just looked closer at it. It’s rubbish. Supports where they shouldn’t be glitches of all kinds and I was trying to stats boost the two rides and didn’t do it very well. I’ll have a better one in a few days.
Looks like you had some ideas for set pieces, such as the bridge and the lift on the waterfall/stream with the wheel at the bottom. Good ideas, but your chaotic composition is not doing any of that justice. I recommend just starting with something more simple, say, just a bridge and just the mine train before making it more complicated with the introduction of other rides and things. Then you can just focus on making the landscape look right, and to make sure that the bridge is actually going somewhere. This could look super cool in an actual valley that a river creeps through, but this is a block of raised ground on a field of grass.
In other words: think bigger, think simpler. Then you'll learn how to make things more complicated.

Refine one screen (certainly not as much as building from scratch)
