The content is awesome and shows a great deal of skill, but the composition is just so hectic and overwhelming. Part of the problem with H2H that is so difficult to balance, getting a ton of content while making it legible and visually accessible.
Can't fault the dedication to something creative and artistic though.
I'd argue that the crazy, jumbled-up composition actually helps the theme, as it portrays time being crunched up by memory and confined to the idea of a clock.
Then again, I could just call it baffling and ridiculous and move on.
I can see why people think this is very full and perhaps a bit too full, it was also one of the main concerns my teammates gave me and the rest of the builders while building.
However the fullness was also a deliberate choice. I really wanted the pocket dimension to be filled with activity, life and chaos in order to contrast the bland and deserted reality of Berlin.
Also while the composition of this screen may seem a bit arbitrary there was definitely some thought put into the composition. The whole port area is basically divided over 3 levels. At the top level you have the main docks which houses the big ships and which is on the same level as the castle. Then one level below you have the small docks which houses the smaller private ships. And then on the lower level you have the waterfront houses and the market. The lower level is the level for the common people which is overshadowed by the huge boats which are floating on the higher levels. It was kind of inspired by futuristic stuff like this:
Where the street level is kind of overshadowed by all the stuff happening on higher levels. But then instead of having it in a city setting, I wanted to have it more in an old school German setting.
