Doesn't really matter if it's old, if we respond positively, like some have here, he just might understand that this style is preferable to his usual style...
Honestly, if some unknown new member had posted this, everyone would probably just go "Good start! Now cut back on the trees and develop the theming a bit". But since this is historyfreak, we get the usual trash talk.
If you want him to stop posting, I think just ignoring his screens might be more effective... Because all these aggressive comments just bump them (and this point has been made previously!). Outright banning him also remains an option, if it really is so unbearable to see his screens.
