It's interesting to see how the game has changed over the years. If a park of the same quality as this screen came out today, I can't see it garnering much more than a bronze. A testament to how much players, standards, and technology have improved.
I really think it looks wonderful here... It somehow complements the look of the sloped crazy paving and the rustic roman architecture very well. It looks like something you could easily find in some remote village in southern Europe.
Landscaping has indeed come a long way since this was built, but even so I find this looks great. It's wonderfully laid out and the architecture is so well designed despite the almost complete lack of details. There's a purity to this that's really refreshing, a clarity and a strong sense of style that shines through even after all these years.
Yeah the grass doesn't bother me at all. It acts as an accent here rather than land texture ignorance (if that was the actual case, no one will ever know..)
I look at parks like this and the various other Disney Mafia/Universal parks and definitely get a sense that something has been lost over the years, as no one would dare make a park like this and brand it as Disney. I'm not sure if that means we as a community now look at park trends and characteristics more closely or simply value accuracy, but it is something I wish we'd see more of.

This is some good LL. Lovely atmosphere! Though, does it stand the test of time? Not in my opinion.
Man, just to show you how much builders as a whole have improved in nearly thirteen years.
