  the jagged rocks actually work fairly well for a "flooded city" thing.

  There are more things here that shouldn't work that work fairly well. The colour scheme for example. I also like how there are a few long narrow slopes cutting through the jagged rocks chaos. Breaks it ups nicely and makes for a nice subtle pattern.

   

  Not everything is good though, there's plenty to dislike. I think the diagonal on the left is handled poorly for example.

  yeah I actually like this, although I would never make any of these choices . it just comes together well, maybe its because its composed nicely with the way the water ride works in and out of the terrain changes
