Hip hip hooray! This year we celebrate our tenth year in business. A birthday that is kinda special, so enough for us to give a great gift. In the first place, we felt it was time to give a gift to ourselves first instead of one for the visitors.
Look at our new staff building! A new one was really urgent, the facilities for our staff were kinda sad and prehistoric. Operators were given a few polos and had to wash them themselves. In our new building we have our own clothing service that makes sure every employee has a fresh uniform every day.
The level floor is for every worker that works in the park. They even have their own terrace where they can eat and smoke during their breaks. The second floor is for the servants. And third floor is for me, Marc Pille, and Werner Wardley & Bob Ross. Of course I Marc Pïlle had to claim the biggest office out there. With view on the park and even a terrace on the roof.
But of course, we didn't forgot our technical maintenance crew. We finally build a big shack for them, so they can work in all space needed. And now we don't have to hire external shacks and warehouses around town which was a pain in the ass especially in the winter.
Did you really think we would forget the visitors? Of course not! One of the things we realized we did miss in our park... was a simple playground! Children love it and can spend hours on it. For parents it's an ideal resting moment. So we opened our first playground in the kiddie zone. If this is a succes we'll open more on other places in the park.
Ok enough with the jokes. Blaarmeersen wouldn't be Blaarmeersen if we didn't open a big new ride for our 10th anniversary. That new big ride is Aztec River, a boat ride that takes you trough the Mexican forest where the Aztecs live(d).The station is themed after an Aztec temple. We also opened an eating shack that sells tacos.
One of the rides many other parks have, is a teacups ride. So now we finally have one too! Los Sombreros is the name, and we themed it after Mexican sombreros. The panoramic tower is also adjusted to his new theme.
For our anniversary, we hired a helicopter and flew over the park to take this beautiful overview. Our master plan is already working, seeing the park has grown and looks fuller. The opening of de Vampier did raise the attendance significantly. The rising attendance stagnated a bit after that. That one of our competitors, the Witte Hertenpark, opened a wooden roller coaster last year doesn't help us. How can they already have a launched and a wooden roller coaster?! I'm pretty sure that payed that with tax money given by their socialist friends!
I don't like the bobsled track for the playground, try to use mine train coaster for that. I think the Aztec River has a bit too many boats, also try making the track invisible. The sombreros look nice, too. I'd suggest putting a little sombrero on the top of the tower so it fits the theme ;p
