  I like that you went for a theme that was really out of the box.  I would have never pictured a modern style of architecture be a worthy contender in the competition.  Well Done!

  I get the feeling that it'd have won were it not for that underground level with those ugly rocks. Everything above that is top-notch!

  Yeah everything about the underground is awful. Seems unnecessary too, because everything above the ground is awesome enough. It's really good work.

  Above ground, pitch perfect. Under ground, it really doesn't add to the feel, but I do like the goal you had in mind.

   

  Shame it didn't win because this, sir, is glorious.

  the underground is ugly as sin but it does juxtapose pretty interestingly with the cleanliness of the top level. im not sure it would look as elegant as it does without that big reminder that this is a "disaster" bench

  This was nice, considering the bench its built on, but I don't know, some of it just seems like you built randomly and hoped for the best. But considering the quality of your other work, this is quite exceptional.
