Man this could bee so good if you got rid of those awful planters,  the oak trees look like they are floating and its just ugly grass.  Mix in some flowers and bushes and it will be so much better.

I'd try to expand the map and import some new objects to clean the park up as well, this can be a great park if you really put some extra effort into it.

I'm sorry G Force, but I have to disagree with everything you've said except for the flowers.

Keep the disaster bench, keep the planters! Don't import new objects. I wanna see this finished the way it was supposed to be! Seems like you've managed so far, why not push it till the end!

I agree with g force, but in the spirit of the competition I wouldn't change the bench

I like the grass. Lowering the oak tree one unit could help. The theater looks fantastic.

What's wrong with the planters? They're my favorite part of the screen.

First of all, the trees look like they are floating.  Second, that light green grass object is really distracting, flowers or some other sort of landscaping would look a lot better I think.  I mean, if every park on NE just had a million large grass objects and no flowers or bushes or rocks the would look pretty bad.  This isn't 2009 anymore, huge amounts of grass objects just doesn't pass for me.

As for my earlier comment, I kind of just meant to import the scenery version of paths and stuff like that to get rid of the glitching in some areas.

I don't think its worth putting in the effort to build this to the requirements of the contest, 3 months after the contest.  It can actually be a great park if you really want it to be, I think slightly modifying the bench could really improve the park.  Not enough to completely change it, but just some slight improvements to clean it up a bit.

The problem with the last part of your comment is that is goes against building in any sort of way other than what's hip and fresh and new and NOW. People build LL because the challenge and the aesthetic (among other reasons), just as they do with ncso and other dated benches. Its just the joy of a challenging build rather than an endless plethora of tools laid out in front.

Yes, the grass is too green and the trees float just as ghost train doors resemble windows and monorail track becomes ships. Just look past those small details and see it for the overall picture rather than each little piece.

Look, I'm just trying to suggest some improvements.  In my opinion the planter is something that can be improved and cleaned up.

This is a really great start and something that can be great, I just think its being held back a bit by some of the limitation of the bench.  One or two different objects could make it a lot better in my opinion at least, maybe no one else agrees but that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the comments all. I really enjoyed working within the limitations of this map. Once its released it will stay true to the original contest format- I'm too proud of what I was able to do with the bench, I feel like adding objects now would be taking the easy way out.

GForce I think you missed Nin's point.

Definitely. LL could be improved upon greatly if the steel coasters could use banked upward/downward turns or if one could use their own objects instead of making due with the objects supplied in game. Hell might as well just use RCT2.

I totally respect your opinion G Force and completely agree, it was something that took me a while to appreciate in LL or NCSO to be impressed by the creativity and vision of the builder within a set of constraints instead of just expecting the use of all resources possible to create the most visually stunning/detailed/accurate form possible.

I think this park and others like it built in the style of NCSO or in LL can be judged secondly by the visual form alone, but primarily should be judged by how creatively the builder represents form through the given constraints.

I agree with the feedback about the excess grass, I just liked that look better than the cheap looking flower objects in the bench.

This looks nice. Something different from the über realist gang for once.

Just feels a bit too empty and open. Somewhat lifeless.
