Not bad. I wish it was integrated into the surroundings a bit, instead of just "sitting" there. Maybe more shrubbery around the base? Make it looks like it's been there for longer.
Not a fan of those trim objects between the path types, its massively distracting. Agree with nin on the fact its just kind of out in the open though, maybe have some smaller structures or gardens around it.
The structure is great, but I hate the deco trims on the paths and the foliage. Try to think more about the choice and placement of your trees, and don't just fill all the free space below the trees with those thick grass objects and those flowers

Great comment this.
Agree the structure itself is quite impressive but needs to be better integrated with the rest of the park/surroundings.
Thanks for the comments, guys. The surroundings are from 2010ish and subject to change.
As for the scoring, I understand 75% is a little high but for the other person, does this really deserve a 45% or did you just feel so strongly about giving it a 60%? I ask this because it's one of the most architecturally intricate structures on the front page so far and still only sub-bronze quality to you?
I'm actually not a fan of the building. The proportions are off to me and it doesn't make much sense with the way it meets the pathing in the entrance.
I also echo the comments about foliage and deco trims.

I voted 50%, which is as Liampie said elsewhere not low but average. I did this because I think the structure is technicaly good but I don't think it's very beautiful in an aesthetic way. It's very grey, I don't like the golden deco trims around the windows and the proportions are indeed a bit off. Plus the bad surroundings. Also, the fact that it's an "architecturally intricate structure" doesn't mean that it's one of the best structures on the frontpage...
I think you should look at some Neogothic architecture and follow their forms in terms of massing and proportions rather than just take aesthetic elements from them. Your structure here seems too thin and flat, and the way the arches move over the path are bulky and heavy.
I think you should wrap up this park ASAP and move on to something new. This thing is holding you back.
Yeah, you're right, I'll probably have it done before the end of the summer, just want to bring it up in quality a bit because it's been around since my noob days and extremely dated.
It looks as though you've developed so much as a player that you might as well be building on someone else's park. It's going to be that much of a challenge to make it look cohesive.
This type of architecture is a bold new step for you. I'd like to see you take a small map and develop some of the ideas you've got going with the newer structure on a fresh canvas.
As soon as you start putting too much focus on scores, that's when you're not building for yourself and your RCT will suffer for it.
The entrance building is okay. It's not amazing as it shows no cohesion and literally makes no sense as a building. HOWEVER, it's aesthetically pleasing to a level. The next step is to figure out how to combine the two and make an aesthetically pleasing coherent building. Make the towers have a reason other than 'looking cool'. Give us a reason to want to know why the building is there and we'll look closer at it, giving us more time to appreciate the aesthetics rather than just glossing over it thinking 'Nice' and moving onto something else.
Just redid the entrance of this, haven't touched it in 5 years, so I turned it from a single story collection of huts into a huge, Gothic-revival style entrance. Making progress slowly but surely...

What would the building itself be? Dammit, it sucks working on such an old park sometimes.

And once again, I screwed myself over.
