yes, i need you on that project i was talking about! Good work so far..but those trees look weird though with all white as the trunks. also maybe add some flowers and lil bushes here and there to spice up the foilage a bit more =)
Looking pretty good, I'd suggest using the same roof texture though, when it keeps changing like that it can be a bit distracting. Also, birch tree trunks should be grey not whatever color you have.
Great stuff. Here's some way's I think you could improve it:
-Switch the blue and orange for something else, something a bit warmer or more natural. I don't think these colours work with all the whites.
-Move the blue building back a 1/4 tile so that the games are just visible underneath the archways and so you even more shape to the facades.
-Does the area in between the green and orange buildings need to be clear? Otherwise you could have another birch tree planter in the middle of there to obscure the backstage a bit.
What palette did you use? The light brown looks incredible.
I agree. The bricks of the building on the left have a great color. Not sure yet if it works on the trees as well, though. The orange awnings are a bit of an eyesore. Definitely change those to something less distracting.
Is there a clear explanation on this site on how to use these different color palettes?
The palette is something i made a long time ago for that floating island park i never finished. Here's how it looks ingame:
- Some of the green colours have been swapped around for a less saturated purple and a tan colour.
- Yellow has been changed to be more yellow.
- The dull red colour is less saturated to make it stand out from the other reds.
- The other reds are also slightly less saturated and a bit darker to look better.

Not sure if there's one on the site, but you can create palettes for RCT2 using a tool and some image editing software - i don't think i have a link for the tool but it's probably on my computer somewhere. Ingame they are referred to as Water, since without any custom palettes, that's all they're really used for in the base game.
I'm really surprised nobody really uses custom colours all that much as they're not hard to add to the game and can make things look a lot better.
How do these colours appear in game for someone who download the saved game file?
I haven't added a dark green, sadly. Maybe i can try adding it for a future palette.
The palette .DAT file will be supplied with the savegame as otherwise i don't think it will load at all since it's missing files - kinda like custom rides.

Sure! I haven't ever done a duo RCT2 creation (nor have i ever even uploaded any actual stuff i've made) but i'm up for it.
The trees are actually supposed to be completely white, but i used a tan colour in a custom palette i made instead. I'll try adding some more foliage.

Great job.
I also don't mind the different roof textures. From a realistic standpoint the roof textures don't have to be the same 100%.

That cream colour... damn! Is that a dark green too?

Screen looks pretty good. Facades are a little cutesy and scaled down a bit for me, but the details and atmosphere are there.

Wow I didn't even know you could do custom palettes. The trunk color is so good
