Description
Remember Barefoot Park?
http://www.nedesigns.com/topic/27323/barefoot-park/
This is the topic Luketh made before NE5. Read through the topic to get the idea of the park.
He hasn't built in a long time, and since I loved this park back then, I have put it upon myself (with Luketh's permission) to try and finish this park, since it is right up my alley.
In this screen:
Blue Jay, suspended Arrow Coaster (Luketh)
Barefoot Carrousel (Luketh)
Entrance area, including shoe storage (Luketh/Faas)
Shoeless Sailors, Pirate ship (Faas)
See you around! - Full-Size

I don't know if I love the idea or just think it's ridiculous

I remember seeing this before I joined NE. I feel the same about it as Version1.... Keep working on it, I think I'll like it more!
You're right, BTW. Your styles look very similar.
EDIT: Just noticed something. Be careful with those big patches of grass...eh...path. It seems as if they can get boring very quickly.

Maybe it's just because I live in America where personal responsibility doesn't really exist but the idea of letting people walk right under that low part of the suspended coaster all the way on the left part of the screen with no fence is pretty funny to me.

I quote Luketh from two years ago:
"Blue Jay suddenly swoops out over the path on two separate occasions. Riders over eight feet tall are advised to lift their legs upwards at this time for safety reasons."

I don't get what you mean by utilitarian? Every building has a function. Green one sells donuts, peach building with blue dome has an ATM machine, white building is a toilet building, glass roof building has a shoe storage, yellow building makes and sells lemonade, and the red building sells souvenirs and boots for when it rains.
Do you want my buildings to be less Faas? Or was it just an observation? Do you want me to copy other people? I don't understand.

I'm glad this is getting finished. I think more Victorian theming around the pirate ship would go well? The stone wall around the pirate ship doesn't match the wooden pole fences Luketh placed around rides like the merry-go-round.

To be honest, this is more of a fantasy park in my eyes, so I think it'S okay to not add fences, etc.

Kick off ya shoes and come chill with us!
Looking good, Faas.
When I created this park, I created it with the idea that it's located in the same universe as Electric Fields, Forest Frontiers, Funtopia, or any other RCT scenario. Barefoot Park isn't in America, or Europe, or Australia -- it's in Rollercoaster Tycoon. Peeps are peeps, not humans; their lone drive is to visit amusement parks. These strange beings spend YEARS in amusement parks. Barefoot is like the Woodstock music festival of amusement parks... something like that.
I'm excited to see where you take the park, Faas. I like what you've done with the entrance!

Unpaved paths? With thousands of guests constantly walking on them the topsoil would have almost completely eroded away. Not saying you should do the same for aesthetic reasons but the pathless paths wouldn't be the endless sea of green shown in the picture.

^yes, but this is rollercoaster tycoon grass, not earth grass
Version1 Offline
And this is basically fantasy. In reality this gras would be full of soft drinks and junk food and trash

broaden your mind... embrace the evergreen grass!... it kicks the regular grass in the ass!

If anyone can finish this park and do it justice besides Luketh, it's Faas..
