What confuses me is why one is 654.05 and the other is 654.04.

It's closer to the elevator which is made of impulse track so I assume that might be causing it. That's my only guess though. lol

I'm assuming the downtime is going to be terrible for realism purposes?

  • Coasterbill%s's Photo

I shit you not, every 3rd train rolls back when not loaded with peeps and because the train is hacked on to the track with 8cars it breaks down every 4 launches or so, so yes. It's incredibly realistic. lol

The way to reduce the downtime is to use a dummy station with the original train cars and merge into the coaster track (Although that causes some seriosous error trappsers once a train rolls backwards)

I wonder how this will fit in the park. Looks way too high for me.

You could shoestring those drop towers to give it a single queue.

I placed this first so I could plan around it. It's in the corner near the parking lot so from 2 angles it only has the lot or black tiles behind it, from another it will be mostly trees and no paths and there's only one left which I'm going to carefully develop so nothing important is blocked.

And Tim I think I'll make one a Fastlane line to solve that problem.

Is this any sort of franchise or what dude?

Haha I have the same type of coaster in FUCK! Also crazy high, my version is in the middle of the park though :p

They aren't oversized. They are the right size. European coasters are undersized :(

No, I just kind of made it up. I picture this being somewhere between a Busch Gardens and Cedar Fair style of park. This ride may or may not be indicative of that but just trust me on this. lol

Lol, there's really nothing oversized about it, Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster are both taller rides. This one is about 400 feet on the dot.

This won't be another Sunset Valley but I love some tall coasters. I was on my best behavior with Sunset Vista but I can't help myself sometimes. lol

I think the argument is that 400ft in-game is not necessarily reflective of 400ft in real life. RCT oversizes things a little.

  • Coasterbill%s's Photo

Pffft... this game clearly knows what it's doing when calculating stats for a ride (see 0.00 negative vertical G's but 53.88 seconds of airtime, all while dropping for a total of like 6 seconds). lol

In all seriousness though if that's true, I think it's totally feasible for one of these rides to go as high as 500 feet as Kingda Ka is only 44 feet short of that.

  • Version1%s's Photo

TTD and Kingda Ka are already oversized in my book, same goes for Fury

Wow, don't knock until you try

Here's the first screen from my new full scale solo, Emerald Point. Shown is the Intamin Rocket coaster "Harsiesis" (named for an Egyptian god) and the unnamed (but incredibly exciting) drop towers attached to the tower.

If this were a timeline park I'd say the coaster would have been added around 2002 as it's height is surpassed by Dragster and it does not feature the twist (as it looked very cluttered and messy).

I've only seen this happen with a heartline roll coaster before, I'm not sure why it considers more than half of the ride to be "airtime".
