Earlier than expected, the takeover by the American investor Rob Alvlees. This has no large consequences for our new 2001 ride, the mega coaster Orion. The coaster is built by the Swiss company Intamin AG, features eight (!) inversions, and has ancient greek theming by once again our Moroccan prodigy designer Auda Sherif Feisal! A thrill ride like this is nowhere to be found in the region, we're confident that it gain us a lot of new visitors and media attention. Now, to the pictures!
The eight inversions are a unique pretzel resembling looping, a cobra roll, a looping and a triple barrel roll. The rest of the layout consists of tight turns and quick airtime hills.
So what's next for De Bedriegertjes, now that it's acquired by Rob Alvlees? Our ambitions remain the same: to become a leading theme park in the country and region. Rob Alvlees will greatly aid us in achieving this goal. The direction we took by adding a major thrill ride in the form of Orion, will be continued. The difference Rob Alvlees makes is financial resources. In other words, the next new roller coaster won't wait eight years again... Another opportunity is that we can improve the older areas in the park. Especially the log flume area (pic below) is hopelessly outdated and will get a makeover next year. Needless to say, Auda Sherif Feisal is very excited about this new job. As are we.
Excellent layout! Am I detecting inspiration from Thorpe Park's 'Colossus' coaster? Especially with the back-to-back barrel rolls suspended over the walkway.

Thanks (goes for everyone, happy the layout is well received). I didn't draw inspiration from Thorpe Park specifically, just wanted to do an Intamin multi-looper of which there are several. Colossus was the first one though, if I'm not mistaken.

I wish that park still existed, so Brazil wouldn't have just ONE good park.
