imho - I would say the poles are great to use on this building, but I would cut them back. Keep them on each tier of the building, but only let them run along the upper portion of each section. So take out the poles below the windows, and don't have 2 sets of poles running one row on top of another row.
I understand the critcism about the overuse of the poles, but I think you would understand when you look up the inspiration by just typing Timbuktu into Google. Nevertheless, I will cut them back a little, and see how that looks.
