If you're building to please everyone then you're doing it wrong. We critique parks for the same reason people critique movies, art, architecture, etc. We do it in hopes of helping the builder, so he or she can create even better work, just as a filmmaker or artist would look at reviews and critiques and later improve their own work.

The "perfect park" will never exist, just as the perfect piece of art won't either. I personally build to satisfy myself (just as anyone else should), but I do look at criticism and learn from it. If I ignored it, I'd continue to make shit and that wouldn't make me happy. I get the biggest kick of looking at people react to my work and liking it, and listening to people and learning helps me obtain that.

Also, if you think Kumba and Corkscrewed are without faults then you're dead wrong. Son of Kumba was awful.

Thats a big thing to say if you think Son of Kumba was horrible, and yes I agree with what your saying but sometimes its hard to keep building after you keep getting critiqued on trying to make a park better and better and still fault. I mean, I'm not going to give up at all, never that but I can't ever seem to finish a park because I look at everyone elses park and be awed, like damn how did he come out with that idea. For example, robbie92. His work just makes me not wanna play anymore lol.

Firstly, Son of Kumba was horrible, it was god awful.

Secondly, if looking at robbie's work makes you not want to play, rather than be inspired, then thats your fault and a flaw of your own, not the community's.

First of all, the screens you've released show excellent skills and potential. I just peeked at 4 or 5 of your screens and everyone single one is full of members giving you compliments, with some minor suggestions from a few, which is normal even for the best builders on the site. It's obvious you're being 1000% harder on yourself than any of the members are. Most newer members that start posting usually put up crap screens first, and they slowly improve. You're starting with really nice work, with time and effort it will improve. One member even compared your work to an early robbie.

The best thing you could ever do is push yourself to finish a park. Ask anyone on the site, it takes some serious self-motivation to keep going. Parks often start with a lot of zeal, but that can diminish as you get into the middle of it. Maybe try finishing a design or a small park first. You'll grow like all of us did, check out Stoksy's first parks, big changes from 2010 to this "Extinction" release, but that's over 5 years.

Wow man I really needed someone to talk to me like this, and you hit it right on the nail! Even in real life I'm super hard on myself, I think its because of my personality. I always tried to please everyone and I can't be happy with myself in the end. But I will take into great consideration of what you said and keep at it! My goal is to atleast release something, I've been playing rct since I was a little kid and I'm 24 now and It hurts that I didn't release anything yet to the public due to that reason of being hard on myself and not being "perfect". Thank you Bigshootergill and also the rest of the community that complimented my work. And by the way Stoksy I really like your work too, sorry for making most of this page about what I'm personally going through as a builder.
