That sandwich is a clever idea. Although I would add an extra word like 'shop' or something at the end of the sign. I'm not a big fan of that big mass of black roof.
Nice work gdb. I like how you've offset the shops to break things up a bit, and a great variety of colors and styles that all match together. Can't wait to see the final cut! I smell an accolade coming your way!
I figured out whats annoying me about this screen. Its something to do with the scale of the buildings. Like the blue awnings and the giftshop are really low to the ground, implying a much smaller scale, but the top half of the buildings is bigger. It comes off as strange to me. I always say venture on the side of making arches etc higher than you expect. Also, that giftshop building which is just one big roof just doesn't work for me, especially with the big corrugated metal structure behind it.
