Interesting. I'd experiment with different colours. And do something about that gigantic grey square, it's an eyesore. I like it besides that, very retro-ish style.
The facades look pretty cool, kind of a Greek coloring to the screen shot. Nice to see you using CSO in your work. Looking forward to a look at the Shore Racer coaster.
Yeah, the massive expanse of flat grey roof texture is really not working at all.
I mean, overall it certainly isn't awful but you're trying to pull off a very ambiguous theme I think and instead of relying on the forms of the architecture you're relying on the colours. Therefore, the result is going to be quite monotonous and boring. I would suggest going further with what bigshootergill mentioned in regards to the Greek colouring and instead move towards greek architecture. Having a more obvious and clear theme [that is more unique and almost regardless of colour can still portray the relevant theme] will help you improve.
I agree with Stoksy completely. And the blue building with white roofs does look terrible, because it doesn't make sense. It's like someone with orange skin and pale white hair in a community of gingers. You need some rules, like 'white for vertical surfaces only', 'blue for roofs only', 'brown for flat roofs', 'yellow for doors and windows'. This is a simple formula that will already make your area look better. Trust me, some splashes of yellow here and there will complement the white and blue fantastically. And if you're going for greek, you should have many flat roofs!
If you need inspiration:
You can derive a formula from this picture. Whites and very light pastel colours with VERY bright blue domes, vertically stacked against a mountain without any straight lines.
I decided to dive a little bit deeper into CSO and build an entrance for a sunny park at the shore of the sea. It's not 100% done but I'm quite satisfied to this point.
