Thanks Faas, glad that you like everything else. Custom flats are something that I'm trying my had at in this design so its understandable that it may not look as good as it could be.
Fair call Bill; will give that a shot.
@Richie; the idea was more that the ride itself was somewhat hidden from view and then when it operates it would appear over the top of the trees. Although I guess given it doesn't operate consideration should be given to making it viewable usually...the angle with the barrel roll in the foreground allows the ride to be visible at least and I'm trying to keep it that way.
^That's what happens when you watch so many of his streams I guess...On anything larger I would certainly agree with you regarding details [my solo park being a prime example and that's less detailed] but I'm confident that because this is a design it will be much more manageable. My only real foreseeable difficulty at this current stage is more finding styles of buildings that fit the jurassic/jungle theme rather than the level of detail put into the building itself, so I'm confident that this will get done.
Looks like a great start. My major gripe is that you seem to be going for a true jungle theme and everything seems very clean, especially the planters bordering the paths. Things could be a bit more wild in the foliage I think.
You also seem to be going for pretty true realism, and in that case, the Rainforest Cafe is not large enough. Those things are massive. I could see what you've built as a typical counter service restaurant but not a Rainforest Cafe; it should be twice that size.
I'd say its a good start. My only real issue is that you're going for what seems to be a true jungle theme but everything's still pretty clean, particularly with the planters all along the paths. You've got a chance to make the foliage more wild I'd say.
It also seems like you're going for pretty hardcore realism, which means that the Rainforest Cafe probably isn't big enough for that. Those buildings are massive, and while what you've built is big enough for a typical restaurant, it's definitely not for a RainCafe. They're double in size.
only thing i'm not crazy about is the bit of backlot with the dumpster. That doesn't seem like a likely location for a dumpster, and in this case, really just seems like backlot for the sake of backlot. I think it would look better as some denser foliage between the two rides, which you could extend into the mass of brown the coaster is floating on.
Otherwise, the structures and composition is wonderful, love the texturing and the detail. This park is a wonderful improvement from your MM work.
@Steve [and nin uhm]: Fair comment about the planters, I will certainly reconsider what I have already. As Tim alluded to, the rainforest café was more inspired by the real ones in its form rather than purpose. Hence the outdoor seating area [which was also to prevent that area in front of the power surge looking too flat].
@Fk: There will certainly be denser foliage around that area to be fair, but I did still want to try and clump the foliage as best I can. The purpose of the backlot granted, is perhaps slightly forced in this instance, but I think it does at least help a little when it comes to ensuring that building details are visible and realism taken into consideration. The mass of brown is the unfinished part of the screen, and theming will be developed in that area as well.
Thanks for all the positive comments, and make sure to keep us updated Steve
But stoksy, from a realism standpoint, that backlot makes no sense. I mean, why have a cement backlot with a dumpster only a garbage truck can pick up and empty, in an area where no garbage truck could ever get to. and the whole point of those yellow poles is to stop a car from running into a building, but not car can get there... It doesn't make sense, thus this is backlot for the sake of backlot, which is silly.
Fk: Welp, I thought you were talking about the one behind the rainforest cafe rather than near the power surge. I get it now haha. Point taken. Although looking back, there's not really any way for a garbage truck to get to that one either...a rethink is in order. Thanks for clarifying.
Rainforest Café [heavily inspired by the one at Disneyland], custom power surge ride [Terrorsaurus] and unfinished station + surroundings of B&M invert [Extinction].

I like everything except for the custom flat ride itself. Coaster and restaurant look really cool!

Since it's a Power Surge it might work a little better with the invertigo style cars. Other than that it's great though.

Would look better without a tree or 2 in the way haha

Very good. Love the colours. Seems Robbie inspired. Never a bad thing. I'm a bit worried you'll kill yourself with the details, but let's see.

You two are just adorable.

I assumed it was a "Stoksy's Rainforest Cafe" and not part of the chain. The chain never builds their restaurants inside of parks, afaik.

nin I can't decide if I hate you or not. Maybe I just love to hate you. I'll keep all of New Element up to date on this as more develops.

Bill, I may not prefer realism, but that doesn't mean i can't be realistic, and if people are going to insist on it, i'm going to hold them to it.
Glad i could clarify Stoksy, i would hate for you to loose, say, 20% on this cause of unrealistic dumpster locations...
