Description
I just did my first carousel design. I wasn't going to post it, but after Austin threw one up (posted one, not vomited one, I like his carousel design! =), I figured I'd draw some feedback on my design while everyone is enjoyed carousels today (unless you don't enjoy mine).
As a side note, behind the ride I'm using Kong's triangle paths with the bricks, but I can't raise the ground with zero clearance and if I use green triangles on the same tile to file in the space it always creates a ghost object. Any tips? - Full-Size

MoM [Map Object Manipulation] on 8cars will allow you to raise the land [and other objects] where zero-clearance may fail you. Lower the corner where the diagonal path is and colour the land tile something that you don't use [most people use red/yellow/purple/green grid]. In MoM select "raise/lower", put +2 for the value [if the land is as high as it can go], select "land", then select the respective land type, and hit "OK".
Remember to save often, I've heard that people have problems with black holes and landspikes when using MoM.

additionally, most of the k0ng path blocks are only one clearance tall, even though they look like two. So you can stack a diagonal one on top of a full tile one. On the objects that aren't like that, you can lower one diagonal down into the other with MOM and setting height ranges. Most of this isn't actually relevant to your situation, since stoksy answered it already, I just thought this might alleviate future issues.
And you're a reddit guy, you should have seen my tutorial on these in the wiki there. http://www.reddit.co..._path_blocks_2/
On to the screen itself: I think you can alleviate a few of the cross-wise brick sections by using full-tile pieces instead of halfs, since you're covering the top anyways. I like the carousel colors a lot, but I think the white border on the path is a bit strange. Consider a small flowerbed along the edges of the ride instead.

Stoksy, that's genius! Worked like a charm, thanks for the tip. I've had enough land spikes to know to save often. Haven't seen black holes yet...
