    So this park is like what.. 15 years in the making?! :p

    Anyways, nice screen, tho there's not that much to see, but it has a nice atmosphere.

    Sure i remember seeing this finished or released unfinished? or maybe you sent it to me a long time ago? Either way it still looks good now, must hold a record of some sort for longest ever project lol

    The park is going on now for about 11 years SF :p It has been a long time indeed. And Richie you probably have seen a save game from it at it some time, but it was never released. This is however part of the upper strip of the park which I only shared with one person and I can grant you there is a lot of awesome stuff in there :D

     

    As for the size of the screen, I only wanted to show the atmosphere and really nothing else yet. This is one of the areas that is finishing up, meaning that the front end of this area would be done leaving only to finish the coaster and waterride part of this area which is also nearing completion. Still need to make one ride for the Cartoon Carnival and wrap this area up as well. This only leaves the Villian area, but that is not even half way yet.

     

     

    I'm really happy that I'm still able to push some unique stuff into it. It really isn't easy with a park this old. That said, I got Zero Clearance working under W8.1, but the rest of the hacking doesn't work very well, and apparantly my XP license in my VM expired so I actually have to reinstall that again to do the last hacks. Speaking of hacks, does someone know if there is a way to make the bases from a ride dissapear? (It's for the Cartoon Carnavil last ride)

    I don't think you can. Sometimes you can use Gee's invisiblity hack to delete the corner tiles of a flat ride without affecting the ride animations (check out the flatride in RRP's and mine Voyager design). Another option is to lower the ride 1 unit with map object manipulation so it shows the ground tiles under the ride instead of the ride base. Both methods have some uses.

    A third method would be RCTmodified, but I don't know if you can still get that anywhere and I wouldn't use it unless you're building purely for yourself.

    I'm not aware of any other methods.

    To see a larger area done in this theme would be great. I think it looks good, so it's a shame you say it's clashing. I personally can't think of anything more suitable for blending haunted into wild west.

    ^this is actually part of the wild west, where it blends in very well, but this part borders the haunted lighthouse zone (which really only has one attraction). It's a bit of a weird transition, but it works for me. Also this part isn't a very huge area, but more of a subpart of the wildwest.

  • Description

    I always had a bit of an issue with how to connect the haunted lighthouse area with the wild west area. So with a little inspiration from Guacamelee and Rayman Legends, I decides to connect is with a Fiesta de Los Muertes theme. Funnily enough it clashes even more so even with a somewhat overlapping theme :p

    Also, it's obviously still WIP and needs a few passes.
