I guess I'm the only one who doesn't think this is perfect...it's well-executed, I just don't think it looks good.
But that's the point, it's not supposed to look good, it's not Disney, it's a shitty coaster and flume in the middle of the desert at a casino, the draw isn't the coaster it's the slot machines.
My favorite part is the little door and window inside the mountain. They couldn't have make it more obvious that it's a service hatch/office/control room. No attempt made to theme it; just bare material walls of un-themed colours. Aside from everything else, I think this detail really sums up the setting and idea behind the design. Brilliantly done.

Steep drop while still making it look like a relatively cheap flume, rather than using the Splash Boats track and making it look like a huge expensive flume.
You really have thought of everything.... I caught some of this in the stream the other night but I gotta say. This is shaping up to be one amazingly awful recreation of an amazingly awful ride.
Also you're right. My biggest draw to this place are those dirty dirty slots. All they do is take my money and leave me feeling empty inside.
Amazing. I am a huge fan of the way you integrated the rockwork, trackitecture, and wooden structure all together. It's beautiful, really a sight to behold. This is on the top of my list for projects to watch out for!
I recalled your knott's project earlier today and thought this was it at first glance before reading the description. Anyway, looks good though the tan risers on those steps to the right provide a little too much contrast even for a cheapo desert casino coaster.
This is shining above most other stuff there is on the site.
I would argue though that everything you build should have an aesthetic. Even if it's not "supposed to be beautiful", it should still be aesthetically pleasing, simply because it's so good at capturing an imperfection.
This still looks so nice. I love your injection of stronger colours in what can often be bland "dirty American realism". You'd done this from the start with Salga which had beautiful colours, and you've done it with Belmont, and most certainly with Lenox Mall. I know you love ride hacking the most, but I think bringing realism to life through aesthetics is your biggest quality, and one that this style needs at NE.

How does this look from different angles? Those lotr rocks are very different depending on the view. This angle looks phenomenal though

that looks so perfect, absolutely spot on. are you going to do the interior of the hotel, because that was also... peculiar... from what I remember

Thank you everybody. It would be nice to pick this project up again. Maybe someday.
