I appreciate the thought put into the transfer, but I'm agreed; this needs some more development. The minotaur legend has a lot of cool ideas to steal for inspiration as far as architecture and theming- you could make the queue a hedge maze and it would be perfectly on-theme. I'd like to see how you are planning to use foliage here- some flowers would go along way towards giving the area some life. One other suggestion- consider tossing some bobsled track under that jojo roll as a loose objects net where it crosses the path.
Nice idea with the banners for the seat rows, and the closeness of the barrel roll to the path is a great interaction. I'm not feeling the theme yet, mainly due to there being a lack of... well, theming. But as has been said, some foliage would work wonders, as would some ruins I think. Keep at it!
I'm thinking of making it another ancient theme... perhaps one that LL has more of, like Roman or Egyptian. I actually am thinking of developing the park in 2 small sections, so maybe I could make one of each. Most of what I've shown so far would be Egyptian. One issue - I'll have issues integrating a desert theme in with a temperate theme.
Minoan is a great unique idea and you don't have to let the limited palette of LL force you into the pre-defined themes.
The ruins at Knossos look like this, and it seems like a really cool thing to try and replicate in RCT:
I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way, but I took about a half-hour and knocked out a re-done version of your station scene to demonstrate a few suggestions that might be difficult to explain.
First up: Minoan-inspired architecture. Flat roofs and red columns (as near we can do in LL) taken from the palace at Knossos; mediterranean foliage, with flower colors chosen to compliment the red and yellow tones of the buildings. I tried to mix my materials enough to be interesting, but stick to the range of tan-brown for the building to let the red columns and flowers pop.
Secondly, I borrowed your cool interaction idea and added some drama. The entrance path descends under the jojo roll into the Minotaur's Labyrinth, which mirrors the mythical inspiration. By adding just a bit of elevation change the area becomes much more like a set from a movie or play, telling a story.

I figured that I could use the Egyptian style scenery a bit more. At least that color. Thanks for taking the time to do this!

Yeah, nope. Not working. Finish that building and screen please.

The building is intended to be an open-sides station a la Top Thrill Dragster. The area behind it will be finished with foliage eventually.

If it's named Minotaur, why have a station inspired by a coaster that is supposed to be a drag strip? "Minotaur" should be Greek/Minoan themed.

Yes, either appropriate theming or no theming at all. This is very confusing. You should finish your screens more, by the way.

You're trying too hard. It should be effortless.

Indeed, can't really ask for more than what he just did...
edit: oh how I miss his 'design diaries' as well :-)
